From logo lollipops to stylish cupcakes, the merging of fashion and food isn't new. What I haven't seen, however, is a Champagne glass shaped like a shoe! Designed by famed shoe maker Christian Louboutin, this glass slipper was created to coincide with the launch of the brand's own Champagne.

To celebrate her 50th birthday in style next year, Mattel Inc. has enlisted Christian Louboutin to design a special pair of pumps for Barbie. "I guess I always had a little 'girlie side' who liked Barbie," said Louboutin.

Jennifer Lopez has decided to take her love for shoes to a new level by naming her latest single after the footwear designer Christian Louboutin. In the song, Jennifer declares, "I'm movin' on, I'm throwing on my Louboutins."
The latina diva isn't the first to sing about her favourite shoes, of course.

As a girl with a fabulous collection of footwear rivaling that of Imelda Marcos (okay, maybe not), it was difficult for me to narrow down the choices for this year's shoe designer of the year. But alas, I have my top five: Nine West, Jimmy Choo, Kors by Michael Kors, Brian Atwood, and Christian Louboutin. Some of these I regularly wear, some of these I aspire to wear.
