Christina Aguilera and her hot pink lips are back in the US after her recent travels to London and Abu Dhabi, and yesterday she was dressed for the cold weather as she shopped in NYC with her husband Jordan. Now that she's home, Christina should rest up while she has a chance - her album drops on Nov. 11, the inevitable promotional tour is around the corner. Most of you love her new single but are very split on her new video so it looks like she might have her work cut out for her.

Christina Aguilera Continues to Go Global

Christina Aguilera and her hot pink lips moved from London to Abu Dhabi for a press conference yesterday. She's there to perform a concert tonight as she continues to promote her new single and upcoming album. Little Max is getting quite the world tour, but we'll be sad if Christina and Jordan don't make it back to the states in time to show off another pair of awesomely scary Halloween costumes.

Christina Aguilera was at a recording studio in Hollywood Tuesday sporting another one of her expressive tees, an extra long scarf and matching hot pink lips and shoes. We all know that Christina gained two new girls along with baby Max and she shows off her hot new body in this week's Us Weekly. In the issue she talks about dropping 40 pounds and her new bra size saying, "It's kind of hilarious. I've never fit into an E-cup size before!" We're glad Christina is so proud of her post baby body but hopefully this time the magazine's sales will be enough to satisfy the sensitive singer.

Would You Wear Neon Pink Lipstick?

Recently neon bright lipstick has been cropping up everywhere. Lily Allen wowed at the GQ 20th Anniversary Party last week with head-turning frosted pink lips. Plus Christina Aguilera went all Barbie girl recently with hot pink lipstick and black eyeliner. Meanwhile on the catwalks fruity pink shades were the main story with the focus on strong lips and bold brows.

Bright pink is much trickier to wear than a deep red colour though, which has connotations of sophistication and glamour. Bubblegum pink or a hot fuschia has more of a fun vibe and would definitely channel the current retro beauty trend. It's a playful look that I'm tempted to try out. This dark berry lip is the focal point of her look, and she's wisely chosen to go easy on the eye makeup. She's also sporting a few snips to her bangs. Shakira and Chili Peppers Lead VMAs

MTV announced the nominations for the 2006 Video Music Awards today. Shakira and The Red Hot Chili Peppers received the most nominations for the VMAs with 7 each. Both will compete for video of the year along with Christina and Madonna. JT and Beyonce announced the nominees today. They will both perform that evening along with Panic! At The Disco, The Killers and rappers T.I. and Ludacris.

The VMAs will air on August 31st in NYC from Radio City Music Hall. For the first time ever, viewers can vote in all categories. Click here to cast your vote. This is guaranteed to be a fabulous show! Each year I wonder how MTV will top the Madonna Britney kiss.

Trend Alert: Bowl Bangs Make A Big Comeback

Three different ladies with three distinct styles come together with one big similarity – bowl bangs. As I type this, I'm getting flashbacks of hours spent trying for that perfect curl and, while it's a look I don't want to see staring back at me in the mirror, I appreciate their interpretations of the reappeared trend.Take Paris Hilton who (for once) shows the least dramatic variation. Her eyebrow-skimmers are slightly bumped under for a wispy curl, then tousled for less pronounced ends. Then there's Iman with even bangs slightly shorter than Paris'. The curl causes this face-framing cut to bring out her beautiful features – doesn't she look amazing at 53?! Lastly, we have Christina Aguilera whose style can be recreated with one hot curler. Her bang shape is distinct and it looks like her roller was tossed away minutes before the flash went off!
