Buzz-Worthy Video: Sneak Peek at Chuck Season 3!

I was so excited yesterday to learn that Chuck's third season premiere has been scheduled - and it's less than two months away. Still, the big two-hour kickoff can't come soon enough for me, especially after last year's epic finale. If you feel my pain, then you need to check out this sneak peek at the upcoming season. Zach Levi (sporting a new, shorter 'do) presents a very sweet message thanking his fans for all their support before showing a brand-new clip.

Even though Chuck has been given an upgrade, he's just as goofy and lovable as ever. Casey and Sarah are back undercover as our hero tries to play debonair once again - only this time he's actually got a few skills. We also get a taste for that famous sexual tension between Chuck and Sarah. I'm already counting the days so to check it out just read more.

More Chuck, Less Trauma, and Scrubs On the Way!

Earlier this week I broke down the ins and outs of Fall TV with my scorecard, but there are a few new developments to add. First, we've got another one to add to the R.I.P. list - NBC has pulled the plug on Trauma, and the show will be removed from the lineup after the initial 13 episodes are aired. I can't say I'm particularly sad about this development, since it means good news for one of my favorites: NBC has ordered six more episodes of Chuck, which was originally intended to have a shortened season. Plus, now that Trauma is out, it's more likely that Chuck will be back even sooner than March!

That's not all the news for today: the new (and improved?) Scrubs is officially on its way, with the season premiere scheduled for December 1 at 9 p.m. Hopefully the show will add some much-needed punch to the Tuesday night lineup which is a little lackluster right now.

So, will you miss Trauma? Or are you too excited about more Chuck and Scrubs to care?

Chuck Chats About Choke

Like the majority of you, I'm excited about seeing Sam Rockwell and Angelica Huston in Choke, and the wait is now over as the film is released nationwide today. Having read the book for October's PopUK Book Club, I'm intrigued to see how the film compares to Chuck Palahniuk's fantastic novel.

Choke follows Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell), a sex addicted Colonial village re-enactor who pretends to choke in restaurants to help pay for his mother's medical bills. Concerned that time is running out, he engages in various fantasies in an attempt to find out the identity of his father, aided by his best friend Denny (Brad William Henke) and his mother’s doctor Paige (Kelly Macdonald).

The book is hilarious, moving and shocking, so the film adaptation has a lot to live up to. Having won the Special July Prize for Best Work by an Ensemble Cast at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, it certainly sounds like it's going to be great.

Wondercon 2009: Chuck Is a Gaming Geek On and Off Screen

On Sunday, Buzz got the chance of a lifetime for any Chuck fan: she hung with the cast backstage and moderated the panel at this year's Wondercon! Since I don't watch the show on a regular basis (um, where have I been?!), I totally geeked-out when Adam Baldwin took the stage. He plays super spy John Casey in the show, but of course I (and apparently the rest of the audience) love him from his time on Firefly. But that wasn't the only surprise of the day: BSG's Number Six, Trisha Helfer, will be guest starring on a few new episodes, and Chuck star Zachary Levi is a total gaming nerd.

When asked about how similar he is to his character, Zachary started chatting about his gaming skills, how he plays Fear 2, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and how excited he is for Resident Evil 5 to hit store shelves. He also went off about how the controls on Street Fighter IV were a little too wonky for his liking. With his previous displays of geekiness at the TCAs, and now knowing that he's also a gamer, Zachary Levi may just be the dark horse that swipes the crown of Celeb Geek King from Ashton! He better watch out.

Are You Excited to See Nicole Richie's Shower Fight on Chuck?

Josh Schwartz took the TCA stage today and revealed a few exciting details on Nicole Richie's role in Chuck! In the fourth episode of the season, Sarah heads back to her high school reunion, with Chuck as her date, where she runs into former high school mean girl Nicole, whose husband is played by Ben Savage.

One thing leads to anther and the two women end up in a locker room fight scene! On the scene Zachary Levi told us,

"The shower’s full blast, bloodied, pipes breaking off… and you know it was crazy because Yvonne has been doing the whole fight scene thing for 13 plus episodes, but as far as I know it was Nicole’s first fight… well I don’t know, I didn’t watch The Simple Life, maybe they got crazy… but she was right there, step for step, they rehearsed their butts off, and had all the moves down."

Sounds like so much fun. So tell us, are you excited to see Nicole Richie on Chuck?

Back in the day, the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant chain took itself seriously. Way seriously. The employees playing the Big Cheese were given exact instructions on how to walk, wave, dress, embrace a child, read people's minds, attend to their needs, and ultimately, win them over. In short, Chuck E. had to be a perfect politician. Which was great and all, but let's cut to the chase: How did Chuck E. plan to address rising pizza prices and the growing arcade game deficit?
