Clive Davis Gets the Pre-Party Started With Grammy Favorites
Before the Grammys took over last night, the stars got a chance to get warmed up at Clive Davis's annual pre-party on Saturday night. Whitney Houston gave her all up on stage, along with Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis. Chris and Rihanna looked lovey dovey and happy, just a few hours before his shocking alleged assault.
Clive Gets the Grammy Party Started . . . With Whitney
Clive Davis helped kick off the Grammys with his annual pre-show party on Saturday at the Beverly Hilton in LA. The appearance of the night was, of course, Whitney Houston who looked fabulous on the red carpet and with her wardrobe change inside. The icon was joined at the party by Lindsay Lohan in seafoam green and Rihanna in a very full-coverage number.

The Grammy Awards have come and gone, but before there were winners and losers, Clive Davis threw his annual bash for the beautiful and lucky nominees. Overall, everyone looked gorgeous as Ashlee Simpson continued to morph into someone else entirely (albeit a good looking someone else) and Rihanna showed off those famous curves (the dress may, in fact, be painted on). But seriously girls, can we lay off the Tang-inspired skin tone?

Whitney Houston held a listening party for her upcoming album in LA on Thursday night, with Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, and Clive Davis all coming out to show their support. It's been a long seven years since Whitney's last release, during which time she battled personal issues and went through a divorce from Bobby Brown. Here's the first single, "I Look To You," off her upcoming record of the same name.

While Justin Timberlake and T.I. were filming their new music video yesterday, some of the other Grammy performers and nominees were in LA getting ready for the big show. Jennifer Hudson practiced for Saturday night's Clive Davis party, where she'll be performing a duet with a surprise guest before taking the stage again Sunday.

Chris Brown Released on Bail
Chris Brown ponied up his $50,000 bail and has left the police station — TMZ has some video of him on the way out. Chris turned himself in earlier tonight and was booked for the alleged assault of a woman after the Clive Davis party last night. He attended the party with Rihanna and while the identity of the woman has not and will not be released there are lots of rumors going around about what went down.

Updates on Chris Brown's Alleged Assault of Rihanna, Now Deadly Weapon Involved
Chris Brown stopped by his hotel a few hours before heading over to Clive Davis' Grammys preparty with Rihanna on Saturday. Just a little less than 24 hours later, he was huddled in the back of an Escalade after posting his $50,000 bail for alleged assault of a woman. We were shocked yesterday when we heard the news the singer had been arrested for an alleged assault and even more surprised and heartbroken when sources said the woman he beat was Rihanna and that there was a deadly weapon involved.
