Coco Rocha to Launch Clothing Line And She Needs Help

Coco Rocha has used her personal blog to announce plans for her own clothing line! A short video on OhsoCoco reveals that the model has already begun sketching items at her apartment. Nicole and Alexa Are In Fashion At CFDA & Vogue Awards

Nicole Kidman was out in New York last night at the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York. She wore a long white dress to the stylish event, which probably would not have stayed so clean if her gorgeous 16 month old daughter Sunday Rose was with her! Model Jessica Stam also wore a long white dress and hung out with Karen Elson and Jessica Szohr at the event - no New York night is complete without a Gossip Girl castmember or two!

Jessica's boyfriend Ed Westwick also attended, and looked rather understated next to Mark Ronson's statement suit - while Ed's character Chuck Bass is known for his eccentric attire, I don't think that's even something he would go for! Fellow Brit Alexa Chung looked fab as usual in her red dress and matching lipstick - love her look!

Red Carpet Style at the CFDA 2009

Last night the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund awards dinner took place bringing together some very stylish faces and models. The prestigious prize was scooped by Sophie Theallet. Alber Elbaz presented the award to her which included $200,000 and a one-year mentorship with fashion professionals. Click through to see who attended the event.

Congratulations to Georgia May Jagger and Coco Rocha who have just been confirmed as the new faces of Coty Inc owned British makeup brand Rimmel. Georgia,17, is the beautiful offspring of Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger. If you don't recognize her from her Hudson Jeans campaign or from this month's Vogue cover, get ready to see her face getting splashed around fashion mags a whole lot more. This full-lipped blonde's career is about to blow up!

Coco, practically a veteran in the biz has modeled for Chanel, Calvin Klein, The Gap, Balenciaga, H & M, Lanvin, Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne NY and many more. The ladies will follow in the footsteps of other Rimmel models like Kate Moss, Lily Cole and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and you can expect to see the new ads in early 2010.

Additionally, Rimmel will be adding three more spokesmodels from different ethnic backgrounds (along with keeping Kate Moss in the loop) to increase the brand's worldwide appeal. Stephen Mormoris, Coty Beauty senior vice president of global marketing said,

"Georgia May Jagger and Coco Rocha were obvious choices to represent the Rimmel brand. Their modern beauty and aspirational styles are complementary to the strong personalities of our existing ambassadors and will help Rimmel to continue to broaden its image and extraordinary growth worldwide."

Behold Uniqlo's Fall ad campaign for its Heat Tech collection - made from Milk Proteins, which traps heat. You ready for it? Lily Donaldson, Coco Rocha, Erin Wasson, Sasha Pivovarova, Karlie Kloss, Sessilee Lopez, and Tao Okamoto are all stylishly bundled up with snow-capped mountains in the background. I have a feeling what they're wearing, albeit totally cute, wouldn't prevent frostbite. No matter, the shots are captivating and the models are diverse. What do you think? Fab Ad: Liz Claiborne, Fall '09

Liz Claiborne creative director Isaac Mizrahi has taken his girls back to the streets. For Spring it was Georgina Stojiljković in the city; for Fall it's Coco Rocha in the country. The Canadian model looks so royal, so mature in her long pleated plaid skirt and plaid shirt. I'm especially taken by the vibrant autumnal hues. And look: Coco's super-red hair sort of matches the roofs of the houses. Equally dazzling in color is the shot of Coco in a grocery store (below). What do you make of Liz Claiborne's Fall ads? 2010 Spring New York Fashion Week: Zac Posen

Zac Posen is a red carpet favourite. His gowns are popular across the globe and despite always being trend driven, have a slight classic feel to them. This season was no exception as his '70s inspired party girl ensembles graced the catwalk. The colour palette was fun with plenty of bright shades blocked along side cut out detailing. Joy Gryson and MCM's Sizzling Hot Bags

Joy Gryson is one busy lady. On top of designing a namesake collection of bags and shoes, a line for Target, and a super-cute cheaper collection called Oliva Harris - named after her daughter - Gryson has just accepted another designing endeavor with luxury brand MCM. “It’s wonderful that MCM has a long history, so it was important to look back into MCM’s archives and tap into their travel heritage and aesthetic, to revitalize it and offer a modern interpretation,” said Gryson.

The new line, dubbed MCM New York, is made of three groups - the Sportivo, Notte, and Giorno - each embellished with sleek chains and pleating made in snakeskin and python. Check out Coco Rocha showing off its blue and black confection in the ad campaign. Hot. The line ranges from $695 to $2,800 and will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue and the MCM Plaza boutique in NYC at the end of August.

Trend Alert: Bright Frocks at the 2009 CFDA Awards

The Council of Fashion Designers of America held their annual awards last night in New York City celebrating some of the biggest names in US fashion. The stateside fashion capital is currently home to some of my favourite fashion names including Rodarte and Alexander Wang, so I couldn't wait to find out who won.
