In an Apartment Therapy house tour, I spotted this deep brownish-gray kitchen. While it certainly works with the aesthetic of the artsy, industrial loft, I don't think it would work for me! I'm too much of a color fanatic to go with a shade this dark in my kitchen.

I just painted my living room a deep peacock blue, and I've been looking to integrate some new throw pillows and other accents to bring more color into the room. The other color in the room is bright lime green, so I want something that will work with both. When a friend brought me a bouquet of persimmon roses, I instantly thought, "I have to have this color!"

My recent post on CB2's new green knitted pouf got me thinking about the retailer's color palette in general. If you browse through CB2's 700-some-odd products, you'll find plenty of charcoal, dark wood, and white. But you'll be hard-pressed to find a single furnishing or accessory in any color but sunny yellow, avocado, or the brand's signature lobster orange — all bright, warm colors.

I'm a total DIY freak, and appreciate websites that help me reach my crafting goals. Take my last DIY project: the charging station I made from an Ikea shelving unit. Now if I wanted to take that a step further, I could add some decorative fabric to the back panels and really make the shelf pop.

Hi Casa,
My boyfriend and I are about to move into our first house and I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to get in there and start putting our touch on things! The only problem is that I am having a tough time picking a paint color for the living room.

Yellow isn't my favorite color, but it's certainly a very powerful one. A room painted in a soft, pale yellow can instantly create a quaint, country vibe, while one pop of bright yellow in a dark room makes a space look modern and adventurous. But using yellow can be difficult.

Hi Casa,
I am moving into an apartment soon with roommates and want some help decorating. I get my own room and can style it any way I want but can't decide on the color palette.
I love dark moody lounge type colors (dark grays, reds, purples, etc.) and bright bold colors for furniture, but the room is not that big.

If I see a skylight, I'm sold. But this London home has a skylight that runs the length of its roof, in addition to full glass siding on its rear entrance, so my bags are packed. The rear doors open to a gorgeous modern patio, with neon seating, a fountain with a bridge, and a mysterious shed.
