Mark Steps In To Help Out Old Friend Amy Winehouse

Mark Ronson was out in London last night with his girlfriend Tennessee Thomas, friend Jamie Reynolds from the Klaxons and Cory Kennedy. He's just stepped in to help old friend Amy Winehouse out on her new tracks, after her record company were less than impressed with her newest demos. Last time Mark and Amy worked together was last April on a potential James Bond theme, but he quit as she wasn't ready to be working again. With Amy looking healthier again these days lets hope they work together well, and their new tracks impress her label bosses!

Well, you certainly had a lot to say about Urban Decay's choice of web-celeb Cory Kennedy as its new face. Fashionista has a glimpse of the ads that will soon show up on counters, and they're pretty bold. Not sure I'll be reviving the '80s with pink and blue eye shadow, but then again, I'm not a teenage hipster . . .

Cory Kennedy, the web-celeb teenager, who has partied all over the world before even graduating from high school, is about to become a beauty icon, Fashionista reports. She's set to be the next face of Urban Decay cosmetics, with ads appearing in magazines, billboards, and in-store promotional signs. Considering her sometimes-messy, adventurous style, I think she's a good fit for the brand. That said, it kinda turns me off from Urban Decay, because I'm not exactly a fan of the dilated-pupils look. What do you think? Good fit, or not so much?

Behind the Seams: Roberto Cavalli Paris Store Opening

Roberto Cavalli has had a rocky start to 2009 with his Just Cavalli show being pulled from Milan Fashion Week. However, it's great to see him with a smile on his face again as he opened a new boutique in Paris with a little help from his celebrity friends. Milla Jovovich, who has been a front row fixture, partied in a white Spring '09 Cavalli dress and killer heels. Diane Kruger also wore Cavalli in a chain-mail Autumn '09 dress with a fur bolero. Other attendees included Adriana Lima, Jade Jagger, Kanye West and Peaches Geldof and Cory Kennedy who have been watching shows together all weekend.

Trend Alert: Hat Hair

Fab told me that hats are big these days, but I thought it would be difficult to work that look outside of a fashion show. But there they were at last night's Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party. Hilary Duff wore a floppy knit beret, Frances Bean Cobain donned a more structured hat, and web celeb Cory Kennedy channeled Isabella Blow with a netted chapeau.

Of course, certain hats go better with certain hairstyles. A beret like Hilary's is flattering on medium-to-long hair because it allows the hair to flow (it's also a fast fix when you don't feel like doing much primping). Pretty much anyone can wear a trilby, but if your hair is chin-length, pull it away from the front of your face (as Frances does) so the hat-hair combo doesn't overwhelm. Finally, there's a more formal hat, like the one Cory wears. If you choose this hat, go with an updo-the casual, flowing hair just doesn't work with such a rigid accessory.

London Fashion Week: Celeb Spotting - Part One

Last week we watched the fashionistas flock to New York Fashion Week, but now they'll be crossing the pond as London Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, attracting all those interested in what we'll be wearing in Spring/Summer 2009. My girls FabUK and BellaUK will have all the details fashion and beauty-wise, while I'll be keeping my eyes on the front row to see what all those celebrities are seeing, wearing and doing! We saw Roisin Murphy at NYFW, and she looks set to be a fixture of LFW too, as she popped up at two events in strikingly different outfits.

Alexa Chung also did a quick change yesterday, and was hanging out with Peaches Geldof who brought her chum Cory Kennedy from the other side of the Atlantic. Peaches' sister Pixie was looking on trend in her black lace top, as was Nicola Roberts who looked cute in a short PPQ dress, using the fabric we've seen on Daisy Lowe and Sophie Ellis-Bextor in the past.

Sadly, there was no sign of Sophie last night, despite her being the person you'd most like to see over the next few days, but the week is young! Alexa's Frock Me presenting partner Henry Holland was also spotted, as was Adele, Kimberly Stewart, Erin O'Connor, Tim Burgess and newsreader Kate Silverton.

Adrian, Audrina, and Other Stars Just Want to Keep Surfing

John Legend and Joel Madden were just a few of the stars that came out last night for the Billabong Second Annual Design for Humanity to Benefit Surfrider Foundation in LA. The foundation works to protect our oceans, so naturally eco-friendly Adrian Grenier made an appearance with his girlfriend Isabel Lucas. Adrian's been working overtime to encourage us to go green, kicking off his Alter Eco series last night - check out a clip of the show here. Mischa Barton and Audrina Patridge also came out to show the love for those beaches they spend so much time at, which is a good thing since we know how much these two love to show off their bikini bodies.

The October issue of Nylon magazine is dedicated to 'it girls' and stars the impossibly cool Zooey Deschanel on the cover. Zooey (who has a striking resemblance to Katy Perry) poses in a simple shirt and dark tights but still looks amazing!

Other Nylon it girls include Daisy Lowe, Coco Rocha, Peaches Geldof and Portia Freeman. We have a couple of exclusive images of the latter three below. These images are not in the magazine but just for you Fab UK readers!

Scarlett Leads The Pack In Black At London Party

Scarlett Johansson was in London last night to attend the Tribute To Cinema party at Big Sky Studios alongside Thandie Newton, Rachel Stevens, Will Young, Michelle Collins, Joseph Fiennes, Jamie Dornan and Eva Herzigova. Mark Ronson and his girlfriend Tennessee Thomas also attended, looking as comfortable at the swanky party as they had at the pub on Sunday! Many of the ladies went with basic black outfits, from Rachel Stevens' jumpsuit - get her look here - to Thandie, Alice Dellal and Scarlett's LBDs, Will Young even carried the trend to his still dyed black hair!
