He may have become more beautiful with age, but Michelangelo's David needs some serious work done if he's not to collapse.

Engineering experts say that restoration work of up to 1 million euros ($1.45 million) must be done to save the Renaissance statue. David's nemesis isn't Goliath this time, but rather the masses of tourists who have walked past the warrior too many times, causing damage.

Only four years ago, David received an extreme makeover for his 500th birthday. Unfortunately the cracks that were filled have already opened. Should Italy keep putting money into David, or instead close him off to close-up, and hazardous, viewing?

Madonna Continues to Talk About Adoption

Madonna says that adopting David has been more challenging than she previously thought. She sat down with Letterman last night and said that she'd really tried to go down all the right avenues during David's adoption process. But it hasn't been as easy as all that. Here's highlights:

"We did everything by the book, and everything was kosher in terms of legal," she said. "But it brought a lot of attention to a country just coming to terms with the overwhelming number of orphans that are there. There are over a million orphans there ... and in my opinion the laws need to change because these children need to be rescued."
As for how David is adjusting to being with the family: "He's a champion tantrum thrower," says Madonna, who joked with Letterman about having the same first name as her son. "By the way, do you like his name? King David, we call him."
The singer also weighed in on another major topic of conversation recently – underpants. "I've been hearing these stories – it's dreadful," she said referring to photos widely circulated of Britney Spears without underwear. "I love underpants."
Joked Letterman: "I remember one night here a long time ago, you brought me a pair of them, and I still have them." Madonna then quipped: "Maybe you could send them to Britney."

Posh and Boys Support Becks & Prep For Ramsay Christmas

Victoria Beckham was on sweet treat duty on Friday as she took the boys to Yogurtland in LA, while David spent Saturday training and attending a press conference in a warm hat. The Beckham brood then made the trip to Seattle to support David and LA Galaxy in their big MLS Cup final game on Sunday, following the team's win last weekend. Despite losing to Real Salt Lake 5-4 in penalties following the 1-1 draw, Becks remained positive about the team, saying: "It's always tough losing, but we can be proud of where we've come to".

It's been confirmed David can buy an MLS franchise when his playing career ends, and David confirmed he'll be going back to the Galaxy after his loan spell in Milan and the World Cup next Summer, but will be undergoing rehabilitation on his ankle injury. It sounds like Becks could do with a rest over the holiday season, and reports suggest he's going to get pampered at Christmas with Gordon Ramsay is reportedly cooking dinner for the Beckhams as their two families will spend Christmas Day together at Beckingham Palace. Sounds fun!

Natalie, Tobey, and Amanda Bring Family to See Brothers

Natalie Portman in brilliant blue stole the spotlight last night at a screening of Brothers in NYC. One of her two leading men, Tobey Maguire, joined her on the red carpet along with his wife Jennifer Meyer, though Jake Gyllenhaal missed the event. Amanda Peet was right by her husband David Benioff's side, supporting his latest screenwriting effort. Natalie was caught up in New Moon mania last week, but yesterday was all about her own upcoming project - check out the moving trailer before its release on December 4.

David Duchovny Is A Literary Figure

David Duchovny was sporting a bit of salt and pepper facial hair while out in Brentwood earlier in the week. David doesn't stick to his Hank Moody uniform when he's not on set and his marriage is definitely back on track but he does have a few similarities to his ladies man character. David recently talked about his own aspirations as a writer as well as experience as his time as a student, revealing that he does still "dabble" in writing and has some interesting thoughts on how Californication should end.

David Celebrates His Sexy Status With Ice Cream

David Beckham brought his three boys out for ice cream in LA last night. He had his hands full afterward carrying Cruz and Romeo back toward their car, and David even revealed that he's walking around with a boot on his foot. His injury didn't get in the way of a victory for the Galaxy last weekend, when his two youngest sons joined their older brother Brooklyn on the sidelines. David stayed in California with his boys during Posh's latest trip abroad as she gets down to work on one of her many ongoing projects. She did find a chance to give a comment to People supporting its decision to include David on the Sexiest Men of the Year list along with big winner Johnny Depp. "David is a wonderful husband. He is kind and incredibly romantic," she said. "He is a brilliant sportsman and an amazing father. He idolizes our three boys, and this is what makes him 'the sexiest man alive' to me."

Victoria Opens Up About Sharing a Bed With Sexy David!

Victoria Beckham looked a bit sheepish as she left her management's office in London to return to her hotel last night, perhaps because quotes from her interview with Allure have been released. When asked if she prefers sleep or sex, Victoria replied: "Sex! I'm getting into bed with David Beckham every night, so, you know, there'd be something wrong if I said 'sleep'." Victoria also revealed all about her bedroom attire, admitting: "I tend to wear nothing, but David bought me these little sets from Agent Provocateur, his favourite store." These comments follow hot on the heels of Victoria praising David for his inclusion on People's Sexiest Men of the Year list: "He idolizes our three boys, and this is what makes him 'the sexiest man alive' to me." While her personal life is rosy, Victoria still has to deny rumours about her business life, with her rep shooting down those reports about Blake Lively modelling for her line.

Victoria is off for another trip to Europe, leaving her four boys back home in California. She's rumored to be working on a new modeling agency with her manager Simon Fuller, and Blake Lively just may be their first hire.

David Celebrates With the Kids During His Sporting Weekend

David Beckham was in a celebratory mood on Friday as he helped Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston Dynamo at home in the MLS Western Conference Championship. He snuggled up with his hair twin Cruz on the pitch afterwards, and Romeo and Brooklyn were also in the stands to watch their dad claim victory. Come Sunday David was riding solo, attending the P.S. Arts Express Yourself event at Santa Monica Airport and then watching the Houston Rockets play the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Meanwhile, after doing her bit for charity Victoria arrived in London for business meetings, and she'll no doubt have to respond to the latest rumours about signing Blake Lively to model her next collection.
