The Ladies Are Short, Long and Shiny on the AMA Red Carpet!

The 2009 American Music Awards descended on the Nokia Theatre in LA last night, which meant a star studded red carpet before the big show. It was a pleasant mixture of long and short dresses on all the ladies, though some even found a way to do both simultaneously like Rihanna in her cutout gown. Carrie Underwood has the early lead in Fab's best dressed poll, but Rih is close behind. Alicia Keys stood out in blue while Fergie's high slit meant she showed off some leg as she posed. Nicole Kidman spent most of her red carpet time on the arm of her husband Keith Urban - speaking of which, check out all the guys here.

Shakira and Selena Gomez cozied up for the cameras in their standout short dresses while Demi Lovato sported some bling around her neck. Girls and Guys Get Glam For the American Music Awards!

The American Music Awards took place last night in Los Angeles, celebrating the best in US music from the past 12 months! Taylor Swift was the big winner of the night, dominating the female categories and getting gongs for favourite artist in both pop and country categories as well as beating Michael Jackson to the huge award - Artist of the Year. Taylor's in London at the moment and missed the ceremony, but Michael's family Jermaine and Janet were at the ceremony and picked up the late singer's four awards.

Country act Gloriana were shocked to beat Lady GaGa to Breakthrough Artist award, while Twilight picked up yet another award for Favourite Soundtrack. Performers included Whitney Houston, Jay-Z, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Rihanna, Lady GaGa as well as a performance by Adam Lambert that's got everyone talking - see why under the cut!

Jennifer Plays With Demi, Emily, and Naomi in NYC

Jennifer Aniston was in LA last week for a wedding with her stylist, but she popped up in NYC last night to take part in the annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway. She joined a handful of actor couples for the evening, including Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as well as Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts. Demi Moore was a lot more covered up than her recent W cover, as she posed with husband Ashton Kutcher. Jennifer joined her fellow thespians onstage to sing "Yellow Submarine" and take part in the hastily-written theater exercise, which was held to benefit arts in education programs in public schools. She took her bow next to a similarly-dressed Brooke Shields before moving on for some after-hours fun with Ashton and Demi.

Demi Has Lots to Say About Cougars and Marriage

Demi Moore struck a gorgeous pose for the cover of December's W. She's the latest member of her extended family to pose for the publication, following Bruce Willis's saucy spread with his new wife Emma Hemming earlier this year. Demi is out and about promoting her movie with David Duchovny, The Joneses, as well as Happy Tears with Parker Posey. She sat down with the magazine to chat about her marriage to Ashton Kutcher and what she thinks of being labeled a cougar. Here's more:

On being married to a younger man: "I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl. . . I don’t know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, 'There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?'"
On being labeled a cougar: "I’d prefer to be called a puma. . . [I] Twittered it out. People wrote back hilarious stuff, saying, 'I’m going to get T-shirts that say PUMA POWER.'"
On meeting Ashton six years ago: "The most overwhelming part of meeting someone that you already felt you had such a deep and old connection with is that your feelings are greater than the time you’ve had to actually be with one another. Now we’ve had the physical time together. The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible."

The guys were dressed to the nines for last night's GQ Gentlemen's Ball in NYC last night. Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher smiled together and locked eyes on the red carpet as the cameras snapped away while inside the party Mark Wahlberg put his arm around Akon. Other big name attendees included Adrian Grenier and Emmy Rossum, who was rolling without her boyfriend Adam Duritz. Both Ashton and Demi will be back in the city in a little over a week since they're supposedly set to participate in the annual 24 Hour Plays on Broadway along with Jennifer Aniston, Liev Schreiber and more.

Ashton looked dapper in his suit and Demi looked uber-toned and fit in her black and white dress. The couple are working together on November 9 when they both take part in the 24 hour plays project on Broadway! Kid Cudi, Emmy Rossum, Josh Lucas and Olivia Palermo also dressed up for the occasion, while inside the ball Mark Wahlberg was looking a lot more relaxed and casual in his t-shirt. He revealed that his pregnant wife Rhea Durham is expecting a girl, so he'll have two girls and two boys in the family - awww!

The U2 concert in Pasadena last night brought out many of Hollywood's biggest names. After a weekend with family, David Beckham attended with friends, while Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford turned up side-by-side. Paris Hilton came with her boyfriend Doug and sister Nicky, and Ashley Greene left the Gossip Girl gang to watch the show alongside fellow Twilighters Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet. Ryan Phillippe had a boys' evening out with BFF Breckin Meyer, as Olivia Wilde chatted with Ginnifer Goodwin. Orlando Bloom tried to go a little incognito as he played with a mask in the VIP lounge before the whole famous gang went to see Bono and the guys do their thing on stage.

More Kids for Demi & Ashton

Demi, Ashton and Tallulah Belle were caught out in Beverly Hills last night. The happy family looked a bit beat as Demi tried to avoid the cameras however, she looks amazing as usual in the pages of VF. In the article she talks about wanting more kids and being an overprotective parent. Here's more:

"Most definitely," she tells Vanity Fair when asked whether she wants children with Ashton Kutcher, 28.

Of course, being a mom to teens can be a handful, especially when your oldest daughter starts hanging out with Lindsay Lohan.

"I'm definitely a bit overprotective, maybe because I have girls," Moore says. "When they go out, I have them check in continually the entire night. ... The fact that they are happy to check in and let me know how they are and where they are, that they don't see it as a drag, is a real gift."

Ashton also is really protective over the girls. He's warned Rumer to steer clear of Lindsay because he knows she's a bad influence. These two should have no problem handling a few more kids. For more pics just read more

The issue of modern slavery is one of their philanthropic pet causes, and they both took to Twitter to share about presenting the Modern Abolitionist award. Ashton and Demi are on the same page when it comes to their charity work, but he evidently wasn't always so supportive of his significant other's interests.
