Johnny Depp wasn't at yesterday's Grammys, but he was hard at work on a musical project of his own in LA. He joined Keith Richards and Patti Smith to work on a documentary about the legendary Rolling Stones star, with Vanessa Paradis even bringing their kids Lily-Rose and Jack along to check out the scene. Johnny has another rock and roll project in the works, as he's set to team up with singers Nick Cave and Shane MacGowan to record a charity single benefitting Haiti.

Ready to get a full rundown on the life of Keith Richards? Variety has confirmed the rumor that Johnny Depp will be directing a documentary about the Rolling Stones guitarist.
Richards would be intriguing source material (remember when he joked about snorting his dad?), but it's made more interesting that Depp is behind the camera.

Sure this dad is known for his Oscar nominated performances in Sweeney Todd, Finding Neverland and Pirates of the Caribbean, but Johnny Depp was on 21 Jumpstreet when I first had a crush on him.
Back then Officer Tom Hanson was hot, but it would be a while until he rose to Sugardaddy status.
Now it seems that there is just no getting better for the ridiculously talented and tattooed father of two — daughter, Lily-Rose, 8 and son, Jack, 5.

Johnny Depp joined Serbian director Emir Kusturica for an afternoon walk today during a break from Belgrade's Kustendorf Film and Music Festival. The duo has had a whirlwind two days since Johnny's arrival in the country on Tuesday, first meeting with President Boris Tadic and then unveiling an almost life-size bust of the actor yesterday. The past week has been a good one for Johnny, especially considering his Actor of the Decade honor at the People's Choice Awards.

Johnny Depp's Serbian adventure continued yesterday with the unveiling of a nearly life-sized statue of him in the village of Drvengrad, which was created by director Emir Kusturica for one of his films. The effigy's debut is one of the centerpieces of Belgrade's Kustendorf Film and Art Festival, though Johnny kicked off his tour of the country with some politics — he and Emir met with president Boris Tadic shortly after Johnny's arrival on Tuesday. Johnny's starting awards season with many accolades for his long career, though it's his next project that's in the news.

Johnny Depp arrived in Belgrade, Serbia yesterday looking casual in jeans, sunglasses and a beanie hat. He's there to attend the third annual Kustendorf International Film and Music Festival which was started by Serbian director Emir Kusturica. Emir has also announced that he will be directing Johnny in a film about Mexico's 19th-century bandit-turned-revolutionary Pancho Villa in the future.

Johnny Depp arrived in Belgrade, Serbia, this morning ahead of the country's Kustendorf Film and Music Festival, and one of his first orders of business was sitting down with the country's president, Boris Tadic. The actor, who's one of your top male stars of 2009, is back in Europe after a recent stop at the People's Choice Awards in LA to pick up the Favorite Movie Actor of the Decade distinction. There's more back-patting in store for Johnny at the Kustendorf, as he's there to participate in a "retrospective of greatness" look back at his career before a life-sized bust in his likeness is unveiled in the village of Drvengrad.

Johnny Depp is in talks to star in an upcoming biopic of Pancho Villa, titled Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers. Villa was a Mexican Robin Hood of sorts, a thief to the rich and hero to the poor. I can easily see Depp in this part, but here's the twist — he'll be acting in Spanish.

As we wrote this morning, Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose has been receiving treatment for an illness in a British hospital for the past nine days. InTouch Weekly is reporting that her sickness came from stepping on a rusty nail at the family's farmhouse in France. Unfortunately, after the wound was left untreated, Lily-Rose developed blood poisoning and her condition rapidly deteriorated, affecting her organs.

In what can only be described as a match made in Hollywood heaven, Johnny Depp may be Angelina Jolie's next leading man. The actor is in talks to star opposite Jolie in The Tourist, a film that Jolie snatched up when Charlize Theron left it behind. Depp would play the American tourist, a role that Sam Worthington was originally slated for.
