Eva Rallies Engines in Her Bikini For a Good Cause

Eva Longoria kept her bikini body under wraps over the weekend as she hit the beach in Miami. She joined friends at the Eden Roc Renaissance hotel in a sparkly two-piece, though she kept her famous figure covered with either a towel or her long-sleeved shirt. Eva was in Miami for Saturday's ''Rally For Kids With Cancer," which saw the actress don a variety of funny outfits to entertain children during the philanthropic event. We didn't get our usual dose of Eva as Gaby Solis on Desperate Housewives last night due to the American Music Awards, but next week's episode looks like it can't be missed.

Desperate Housewives Rundown, "The God-Why-Don't-You-Love-Me Blues"

Secrets came to the surface on this week's Desperate Housewives, like Katherine's obsession with sneaking into Mike and Susan's house (cuckoo!), Julie's scandalous affair - and best of all, we learn more about the mysterious Bolen family, which has me totally intrigued.

Ready to break it all down? If you don't mind spoilers, then read more.

Gaby - Gaby catches a break this week. It all starts when her daughters discover Ana's stash of condoms. Gaby confronts Ana, and she admits to her aunt that she's in love with John. (Yeah, like we didn't see that one coming.) Gaby goes to John's restaurant to confront him about the matter, and he comes on to her - right when Ana walks in. I was pretty excited about the battle that was going to go down - will she blackmail Gaby? tell Carlos? - but after Gaby reveals her history with John to Ana, she surprisingly backs off and quits her job. I don't know if I believe that this storyline is 100% over, but looks like John doesn't have a reason to stick around Wisteria Lane. Gaby really seems like she's moved on for good.

Susan - She may have tried to attack Danny last week, but this time around, Julie gets the brunt of Susan's anger. Julie finally wakes up in the hospital (yay!), but on the downside, she comes back right as Susan learns that her daughter had an affair with a married man. In typical Susan behavior, she tries to pry for details - and even searches through Julie's journal to find out that the guy is called "D." - but Julie won't admit anything. We learn who the unknown "D." is soon enough. For that, keep reading.

Angie - Angie means well. She sees that her son Danny is having a hard time at school with making friends, so she bribes Porter to throw him a shindig, so Danny can feel included. At the party, Danny sees his dad flirting with some of his classmates (perv alert), and he confronts him by saying, "I know." His dad's response? "You know what?" But I thought the horrific look on his father's face totally gave it away, didn't you? "D." is Danny's dad, Dominic, as we later discover when he visits Julie at the hospital. Uh-oh. I'm curious to hear what exactly took place in the Bolens's past - especially after seeing those scars on Angie's back.

Bree - This week was a showdown between Bree and Katherine. Katherine starts off the episode by telling Bree that she's in love with Mike still. Seems that Katherine has been sneaking into Mike and Susan's home to find out their sleeping habits, and she's convinced that they're not having sex. Bree tells Katherine to seek help for her obsession, but when Katherine tries to destroy the bride's cake at one of their catered weddings (because it was the same one she designed for her nuptials to Mike), Bree actually fires her. I'm expecting a major Katherine freak out next week. Did you see the menacing look she has at the end of the episode? Bree better lock her windows.

Lynette - Once again, Lynette had one of the funniest subplots this week. Even though no one at work knows about her pregnancy, the signs are starting to show with Lynette's breasts. While Tom likes the results (he calls them "The Supremes!"), Lynette is panicked about how to hide them. Fortunately for her, Carlos thinks she got a boob job, so Lynette goes along with the fib. So much so, that when Carlos asks her to wear a low-cut dress for a client dinner, Lynette concedes. But my favorite part was her talk with Tom when he says "I need you to not be perfect, 'cause I'm not perfect." Sigh, I love those two.

Desperate Housewives Rundown, "Being Alive"

This week's episode of Desperate Housewives follows the residents of Wisteria Lane as they deal with the aftermath of Julie's attack. At the epicenter, Susan's friendships with the housewives are tested (though most of the betrayals happen behind her back). Meanwhile, the newest neighbors find their son on the list of primary suspects and Mrs. McCluskey lands a new love.

There were scandals all over the place this week, so to talk about it just read more.

Susan - Susan's post-wedding morning bliss with Mike is quickly interrupted by Mrs McCluskey screams. As she faces the possibility of losing her daughter, Susan turns to her friends for comfort. In typical fashion, all the ladies have got their secrets - Lynette admits that Julie confided in her, Bree is sleeping with Carl, and Katherine's throwing herself at Mike.

Lynette - Still in denial about her pregnancy, Julie's accident turns out to play a vital role in Lynette's decision-making process. I was surprised that she's seriously considering having an abortion, but relieved that Susan used her own situation to talk her out of it. Most of all, I'm glad that Lynette is facing the truth from here on in, since pretending her pregnancy isn't real was starting to get depressing.

Gaby - I'm loving Gaby's new life with a teenager. Her guidance on playing hard to get cracked me up, particularly when poor Carlos realizes how many dates Gaby broke off for no real reason. Bonding time between Gaby and Ana never lasts long though, and by the end of the episode Gaby is grounding Ana for lying to the police about Danny's alibi. Though Ana continues to push Gaby's limits, so far her actions haven't strayed far from the typical high school realm - but I'm willing to bet it won't be long before things get out of hand.

Angie - Like any good wife and mother, Angie struggles to protect her family from both the police and the scrutinizing eyes of their neighbors on Wisteria Lane. She spends most of the episode trying to prove that Danny is innocent in Julie's attack, but I'm more worried about her husband than her son.

Katherine - Katherine finds a new confidant in Orson this week, trying to convince him that she's going to get Mike back. Orson has done some questionable things in the past, but even he doesn't fall for Katherine's deluded re-telling of what happened while Susan was at the hospital. Now that Bree's moved on, how long before Orson and Katherine end up in the sack?

Bree - Bree's discovering that Carl can bring out a whole side of her she never knew she had - a bad girl side. Not only do Carl's sleazy ways turn her on, but she realizes a bit too late that she's become a bad friend to Susan. Now the real question is whether or not Julie will remember catching Bree and Carl in the act when she wakes up from her coma.

Eva Longoria's Gaby Is Back For Another Desperate Year

Eva Longoria stood out in in her splashy teal top on the set of Desperate Housewives in LA on Friday, before switching into something more comfortable on the way home. She had some time off last month to travel with Tony, but now that her show is back on the air she's got a season to shoot. Last Sunday got us right back in the swing of things with all their exciting fashion and a new housewife, so we'll have to see what Eva's Gaby has up her sleeve this year starting with another new episode on tonight.

Buzz In: What Do You Think of HBO's New Sunday Night Lineup?

While the Emmys were going down on CBS last night, HBO unveiled its latest Sunday lineup. True Blood and Hung may be out for now, but in their place, the network brought in another season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and new show Bored to Death to air before Entourage.

I'm curious to hear what you guys think about the schedule and this week's episodes. Curb has been getting a ton of hype thanks to the upcoming Seinfeld reunion, but I was a little underwhelmed with the premiere - there was no Seinfeld alum in sight, and it seems like the cast's cameo may still be weeks away. And while Bored to Death looks promising, it's still finding its footing. HBO usually has a strong showing on Sundays, but without True Blood in the mix, I wouldn't be surprised if they lose a few viewers - especially when you have Mad Men, Desperate Housewives, and other shows competing for the same time slot.

So tell me, did you catch HBO last night? What do you think about the network's new lineup? Will you watch?

Eva Goes From Jeans to Jumpsuit, Actress to Producer

Eva Longoria headed in to visit her friend Ken Paves in a sensible outfit with jeans to get her hair done on Friday in LA. Later, her hair was shiny, but she had changed into a floral jumpsuit. Interesting choice. Even more intriguing, however, is Eva's new project - she's set to executive produce a documentary about the life of migrant children. After last week's Sapphic interlude, we will see what Gaby gets up to on tonight's new episode of Desperate Housewives. One thing we can be sure of, there's never a dull moment on Wisteria Lane.

Eva Longoria took advantage of the warm Autumn in LA yesterday wearing a maxi dress to lunch - get her look here. After celebrating the new Blackberry last week, she stayed true to the brand as she texted away. After last week's episode of Desperate Housewives we thought we might get a chance to see Eva glammed up again on-screen, but based on how she was dressed back on set, we might have to wait awhile before Gaby gets another makeover.

Eva No Longer Desperate for Ratings

Eva Longoria is looking a little stunned while leaving ABC studios after taping GMA yesterday morning. Maybe someone just told her how high the ratings shot up this week after sinking to the lowest ever just a few weeks back. Here's more:

Desperate Housewives” seems to be back on track, thanks in part to last week’s killer supermarket episode in which two minor characters were bumped off. “Housewives” averaged a 9.0 last night, according to Nielsen overnights, equaling the 9.0 for the supermarket episode the week before and matching its best rating since its September debut.

After a backlash last season over what some considered the dulling of the show’s considerable wit, “Housewives” seems to have regained its creative spark this season, with creator Marc Cherry overseeing things more closely. The supermarket episode in particular received critical kudos, and perhaps some former fans who checked in to see who got killed stuck around this week.

We agree DH has gotten better, but it's sad that it took some shootings to get us interested again. Just proves that killing off some annoying filler characters like Nora makes us happy. Nicollette Sheridan - Still Got It or Trying Too Hard?

Nicollette Sheridan frolicked around Malibu beach showing off her bikini body yesterday afternoon before the rest of us checked her out on last night's episode of Desperate Housewives. Off screen, Nicollette seems to be bouncing back just fine from her split with Michael Bolton and is obviously proud of her hot bod at 44. So tell us - do you think Nicollette's still got it or is she trying too hard?
