Event planner Peacock Feathers created this very over-the-top dinner table décor for a Halloween party. Not only does the pink and purple palette strike me as unusual, but it also seems uncommon to host a formal dinner party for Halloween. I do think any occasion to host a party is a good one, but I've never been to a Halloween dinner party.

Although it may seem complicated, roast chicken is in fact a pretty fast and easy dinner. All you have to do is season the chicken well and throw it in the oven for about an hour. The resulting dish is classic, elegant, comforting, and delicious!

If you've ever dreamed of hanging out with Sarah Palin — now's your chance. But you'd better break open your piggy bank, because as of the time of this writing, the current eBay bid was $38,666.60 for a private dinner for five. But hey, there's free shipping!

I've had bruschetta on the brain lately, as I take advantage of tomato season while it lasts. So rather than limit my tomato and basil toppings to crusty bread, I'm adding this marinated chicken recipe to my dinner repertoire — it's perfect for a warm evening when you're short on time. This dish is cooked on the grill, then topped with caprese-inspired ingredients for a delicious, melty meal.

Nowadays it seems like fewer families have the time to unwind together at night — the kids have after-school activities and more homework than ever, and the parents are working later, longer hours which can make family dinners seem obsolete.
I grew up eating dinner as a family almost every night, so I'm curious to know, did you too?

My brother and his wife just moved to the town where the rest of our family lives. It’s great having them back for the most part, but his wife tends to talk nonstop, prattling on about herself and the most boring stories — usually ones we’ve heard a hundred times before like how she didn’t like broccoli before but now she does, how she loved making mud pies when she was little, how her cat acted when they moved, etc. It’s mindless and dreadfully boring.

This weekend was nothing but rain and the perfect time for comfort food. Browsing through Tyler Florence's Dinner at My Place, I found myself drooling over a whole roasted chicken recipe. Since the weather was bad, I didn't want to leave the house, thus I improvised his recipe with items I already had on hand.

How Often Do You Enjoy Candlelight During Dinner?
More than once a week, I love eating by candlelight.
Several times a month, when I take the time to make a nice dinner.
