There are occasions like the Academy Awards where stars go all out and dress to the nines and last night's Opera Ball in Vienna, Austria was one of them. Every woman in the house was wearing a gala style gown, decadent jewels and had over-done hair. Here's a sampling of some of the looks on Dita Von Teese and Bettina Kofler (girlfriend of Austrian construction magnate Richard Lugner) whose hair kind of reminds me of this 1960's photo. Katy and Russell Steal the Show at Fashion Week

A wavy-haired Katy Perry and Russell Brand hit the Paris Fashion Week runways together yet again yesterday. They sat at the front row for John Galliano's show alongside Dita Von Teese, who then met up with Nelly Furtado at Elie Saab. Afterward, Katy and Russell held hands for a trip to the Pere Lachaise cemetery where Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison are buried. Today is the last day of Fashion Week in the romantic city but it's given the new couple a chance to show their affection all over town. Take Dita Von Teese, for instance, who shared her favorite beauty items, from nail polish shades to lipstick to her bargain-buy foundation. Also known for her tweeting skills? Exclusive! Few Fab Words with William Tempest

Last week at London Fashion Week, I was milling around backstage with BellaSugar UK who was getting the scoop on the hair looks for the William Tempest show when I bumped in to the man himself. I grabbed him for a quick chat about his latest collection and was pleasantly surprised to find him acting calm and looking very together.

The young designer missed out on Fashion Fringe in 2008, but did manage to bag himself a Vauxhall Fashion Scout sponsorship ensuring him a place on the schedule for three seasons. The Cheshire born designer studied at London College of Fashion and despite only graduating two years ago has already won critical acclaim from The Telegraph's Hilary Alexander and Vogue's Dolly Jones.

He spoke to me about Emma Watson, his Spring inspiration, and influential designers. To hear what he had to say, just read more.

You seem very calm
Yes, very calm. Well, we were casting all day yesterday so their outfits are sorted and everything.
What has been your inspiration for Spring 2010?
It’s been very Bond inspired and I was also looking at the Crazy Horse in Paris (the burlesque show). So I went to Las Vegas and took photographs of the dancing ladies and that inspired the print for this season. I also looked at 1940’s underwear advertising.
Do you have a favourite piece from the collection?
It’s probably the first look which is like a peach satin corseted bunny suit which is playful and there’s a lot of ribbon detailing. It’s kind of like a ribbon of fabric which sticks out from the body to create shape and different pockets on the body.
You've gained celebrity support from Emma Watson who wore one of your designs to The Tale of Despereaux premiere. Did you know she was going to wear the dress?
Yeah, Emma’s got quite a few pieces from me and I got a text just before she was on the red carpet saying she was going to wear it. It was really exciting and a big moment for me, I mean, the press after that just went insane. I think it’s really good because Emma’s young, and I’m young and it’s nice that we can kind of support each other.
Is there anybody that you would like to dress that you haven’t yet?
Yeah I would love to dress Dita von Teese. She actually has some of the pieces from the last collection, but I’d love to work with her again. I’d also like to dress Cate Blanchett and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.
Have any other designers past or present influenced you?
I really like Claude Montana and Thierry Mugler so maybe slightly inspired by those. I also really like the brand of Chanel and admire the drive and ambition of Gabrielle Chanel. I find that very inspiring.
Have you started thinking about Autumn 2010 yet?
Well, I’m going to Dubai tomorrow and then I’m going to Paris to sell the collection so it’s going to be a bit hectic. Hopefully I will get some time in Dubai to start thinking about the next collection.

Which Hairstyle Do You Prefer on Solange Knowles?

Over the past few months, Solange Knowles has been playing around with various hairstyles. She went from sleek, straight and all one length in April, to cutting long, face framing layers and angled side-swept fringe in early July. Then, yesterday, we saw her at Dita Von Teese's "Cointreau Teese" party in Hollywood with short, fashion forward looking blunt-cut fringe. Out of these three looks, which do you think suits Solange the best?

UPDATE: As it turns out, Solange has actually shaved off all of her hair and last night's look (far left) was just a wig. Check out the photo here - she sure fooled me!

Love It or Hate It? Evan Rachel Wood's Retro Tribute

A year ago, most of you said it was annoying when people copy someone's look. But that was way before Evan Rachel Wood took things to the next level: dying her hair black, curling it in retro waves, drawing in her eyebrows, and, well, basically taking notes from Dita Von Teese's style. Evan recently split from Dita's ex-husband, Marilyn Manson, so it'll be interesting to see how her style evolves next. Do you love this retro look on her, or do you think Dita's the only one to pull it off?

Bella & Dita Talk High School, Lipstick and MAC

Dita Von Teese looked perfectly pristine unveiling her new PETA ad campaign in Hollywood this week. Never a hair out of place with her. Speaking of which, our very own Bella got a chance to sit down and chat with Dita when she was recently in SF with MAC's Viva Glam campaign. In the video Dita looks, as expected, amazingly gorgeous and composed - what I didn't expect is that she does all of her own hair and make-up for her appearances! No wonder she's got a beauty book coming out. Watch Bella's interview here, it'll probably make you love Dita even more than you already do. It certainly did for me.

2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Evan Rachel Wood

Following her own lead at the 2009 Golden Globes, Evan Rachel Wood continues to look less like Dita Von Teese and more like a screen goddess from the '30s. At tonight's SAG Awards, she wore her vibrant red hair in big, glamorous waves and went just as dramatic with the makeup. She allowed the lips to be the focus with an even stronger red color, with slightly subtler rosy cheeks and a strong eye. Stunning and beautiful. Are you digging Evan's old Hollywood look?
