Float On: Bella Spends an Hour in an Isolation Tank

Claustrophobics beware: this story is not for you. Everyone else, welcome to my float-tank adventure. If you've never heard of floating, the idea is pretty simple. A windowless plastic tank is filled with 800 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved in about 10 inches of water. You crawl into the tank through a hatch, then float on your back in complete silence and darkness. The theory is that after about 40 minutes, your brain shifts into theta waves, bringing you to another plane of relaxation and clarity. Seth Rogen Talks Monsters, Aliens, and Halloween

Tonight, NBC is airing a Halloween-themed follow up to last Summer's animated hit Monsters Vs. Aliens, Monsters Vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins From Outer Space. Seth Rogen, who voices the gelatinous jokester B.O.B. in the half-hour special, chatted on the phone with a few reporters about reprising his role. He talked animated films, Halloween, and even a little bit of the upcoming adaptation of The Green Hornet that he's currently filming with Michel Gondry.

On why he enjoys voicing B.O.B.: I enjoy it because, I mean, this is the stupidest answer - I enjoy it because it's fun. The character is funny and the directors are cool and the story is funny; to me it's like a very fun format to kind of improvise, and try to discover a character in a different way than physically doing it, you know. You've got to do it all with your voice, and I really enjoy that.
On dressing up for Halloween: I have a girlfriend now and I've entered the unfortunate world of paired costuming. It's not fun. I don’t recommend it. I always end up being the lamer half - it's like she's a dog and I'm a fire hydrant or something like that. It's never fun. So maybe I'm dodging a bullet this year.

On his Halloween TV faves: I always liked The Simpsons' Halloween specials, personally. They were always amazing. I always looked forward to that on Halloween. And I watched TGIF sitcoms growing up because I was a nerd and had nothing to do on Friday nights, and whenever the sitcoms would do their Halloween episode, I always enjoyed that for some reason. That always spawned some good comedy.
On the pressure of making The Green Hornet: I will blame Gondry if it sucks. No, I'm just joking. No, we are all in it, you know. I will say, I take a huge amount of the pressure. I understand that. I understand that. I understand that it's my face on it, you know, when it literally comes out even if it sucks for another reason, people will blame me and that's why I have to be so involved - to try to make sure that it doesn't suck. But there's a lot of pressure. I understand that. I've been talking about this movie for years, and if it sucks, then no one will be more disappointed than me, believe me.
On improvising as a voice actor: You can actually improvise a lot as a voice actor. I mean, real people I think don't - and I didn't - understand how animation works really. The time consuming part is really creating the characters and the sets and the worlds. And aside from that it's not that entirely different than shooting a live action movie; the characters mouths are quite easy to manipulate once all the information is built into the computer. So you can improvise a lot and it doesn't matter really how far along they are in the process; they can just make the character say something different. Almost more than in a live action movie because of how slow the process is.
On whether he'll do more voice acting in the future: I really enjoy it and I mean, I've always been a fan of animation - yes, I would like to.

The Scoop: There's Less to Love With Micro Pigs

It's a pig party! Now we've seen cute little oinkers here, before but the latest pet craze over in the UK are micropigs, bred down from a mixture of the miniature potbellied pig, Tamworth, Kune Kune, and Gloucester Old Spot varieties. Fanciers say they can be easily litter-box trained, grow equivalent to a medium-sized dog (45-60 pounds), and are fine for allergy sufferers since they have hair not fur. There are a couple catches: they must be sold in pairs - double trouble? - and, at this time, only overseas.

Do you think micropigs will eventually make it big, or should I say small, Stateside? Just don't go making any swine flu jokes around the lil ones.

Kate Is a Modest, Sexy Woman With a Cute Puppy

Kate Beckinsale wore ripped jeans and carried her tiny puppy on the way back to her car after a stop at Cedars-Sinai hospital yesterday. Her dog may be adorable, but it's Kate whose getting all the attention for her looks. The actress was named Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive following Halle Berry's year with the title. Kate's not letting the honor get to her head, though she joked in the magazine that, "If you're any kind of a human, you know the title is utterly ludicrous. But I like the idea of it, too. I do. I'm feeling that I must earn this. I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something."

Vanessa Talks Teen Choice but Not Nude Photos

Vanessa Hudgens stopped by The Jimmy Kimmel Show yesterday to promote Bandslam. She talked to Jimmy about Sunday's Teen Choice Awards, jokingly saying that she's worried about losing - especially if her dog, Shadow, takes home a win in his own category. One topic Jimmy and Vanessa didn't touch on was her recent batch of nude photos, which were leaked online this week. The pictures are apparently from the same set as her last racy scandal, so she's not planning on addressing the controversy.

It's a Bring Your Dog to Work Day For Jennifer Aniston

If Norman sticks around the production site longer, he might be able to celebrate The Ugly Truth's big weekend at the box office with Gerard.

The Buffalo Guys Say Give Buffalo a Chance

When I first heard that buffalo meat was leaner than chicken, I thought the joke was on me. However, it's true: Due to the fact that buffalo is a wild animal, it has less body fat than its domestic counterpart. Take a look at the buffalo steaks and you'll notice that it lacks the fatty marblization found in beef. Recently, I was invited to an event hosted by the Buffalo Guys, an odd couple who raise free-range organic buffalo. They turn the meat into a variety of products, from hot dogs to steaks.

Being a buffalo virgin, I was incredibly surprised at how good it tasted. The steaks were pink, moist, and meaty. I falsely assumed that buffalo would be gamy or more like lamb. If I hadn't known it was buffalo, I would have guessed the steaks were a lean cut of beef. It's extremely important to properly cook the meat because it can dry out quickly. Generally a buffalo steak cooks a few minutes less than a beef steak.
