DSquared's Camp Chic: Love It or Hate It?

DSquared always amuses. Their hodgepodge style draws inspiration from some of the most random places. For Spring, the twin bros were inspired by the great outdoors. Camping, to be specific. Last season it was the paparazzi prone PYTs of Hollywood, and I loved the layering and cheeky accessories. There are fashion-loving girls who don't mind the dirt and insects that come with tough terrain, but when did trucker hats get cute again? Adversely, the plaids, cat-eye specs, Band-Aids, glittering bracelets, and bottles, are fabulous touches. The splattered purple dress is rugged chic at its best. Are you feeling it?

Meet the Dashing Cast of Bravo's Launch My Line

It's time to talk about Bravo's new fashion competition show Launch My Line. You ready for this? Premiering Wednesday, Sept. 16, the show takes 10 already established professionals who seek to launch a fashion line and pairs them with fashion designers to make it happen. Teamwork at its best. We shall see. Some bonds are bound to occur, while some drama is guaranteed. The winning professional will have his or her clothing line launched, and the winner's helping designer will receive $50,000. Pretty simple, no? The show hosts, Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared, are hot, and the judges are reputable retail queens - Stefani Greenfield of Scoop and Lisa Kline. Now that's more like it. Bravo does such a good job with editing and setting the stage, I'm curious about this one. Click on to meet the designers and professionals - I wonder who's going to get paired with whom.

Highlights from Milan Menswear Fashion Week

All week the stylish men of the world have had their eyes on Milan where designers have been presenting their Spring 2010 menswear collections. Big British names like Burberry, Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood have been showing alongside DSquared2, Giorgio Armani and Moschino. On Our Radar: Britney's DSquared2 Tour Wardrobe

Britney Spears is about to head off on tour for the first time in a long while. The last time she hit the road she wasn't a mother and K-Fed was just a wannabe (ahem, I guess some things never change!)

Of course the show is expected to be spectacular, even more-so than her last tour since DSquared2 announced they have designed her wardrobe. Dan and Dean Caten have gone with the circus theme for the tour, which kicks off tonight in New Orleans, reinterpreting clowns, trapeze artists and jugglers.

The Caten brothers just presented their Autumn line in Milan and confessed that the show was a homage to LA fashionistas like Ms. Spears who is so regularly spotted clutching a Starbucks coffee. DSquared2 commented,

"We are enormous fans of Britney, and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to collaborate with her. The world of the circus is full of contradictions in balance, wonder and desolation, dust and stars, angels and demons. But despite all this, one thing that remains constant is its dream-like element, capable of assembling the public with artists, and catapulting one outside of reality."

Ready to have some fun with the Dsquared2 boys? Follow me! Take this collection as valuable lesson in layering - rock 'n roll style. Grunge, metal, punk - you name a hardcore music genre and it was referenced. Floor-length silky dresses, feather skirts, and tweed jackets proved you can make anything cool by styling in the right way. Cargo shorts, plaid vests, slouchy beanies, denim jackets, blazers, and leggings were also in the mix. But the most amusing addition to the catwalk? Starbucks in the models' hands - Mary-Kate would approve!

Lindsay, Nicole, Mischa, and Christina Can Still Play Nice

A few former bad girls of Hollywood gathered together at Chateau Marmont last night for a Dsquared2 Event. Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Mischa Barton, and Christina Aguilera came out to support and pose with twin designers Dan and Dean Caten. It's refreshing to see how much most of these ladies have matured, but we're wondering how they're getting along these days. They might not be reminiscing about their troublemaking pasts, but they'll always have a common love for fashion to discuss.

Mary-Kate and Lauren Keep the Fashionable Week Going

The Fashion Week glamour is moving right along, with more star-studded front rows. Lauren Conrad switched gears from working on her own collection to see Nanette Lepore this afternoon, while Leighton Meester stepped out for 3.1 Phillip Lim. Mary-Kate Olsen, meanwhile, was on hand last night for the latest of Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld's art parties, helping when someone fainted while Rachel Zoe kept an eye on Brad Goreski on the dance floor. Rachel then moved on to a party at the Museum of Modern Art with Josh Hartnett and Bar Refaeli, who you guys don't seem to think has found a match in Chace Crawford.

Last night in Cannes, Lady Isabella Hervey arrived at the Dsquared2 Sunglass Boutique Opening wearing a rather sexy and stringy white jumpsuit. We know that jumpsuits and playsuits are fashion's "it" items of the moment, but this look is quite revealing for someone of Lady Isabella's, ahem, social stature.
