Ellen Relaxes With Portia After Her Really Big Idol Week
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi stepped out for a walk in LA on Friday. It's been quite a week for the talk show host, who kicked off a new season of her show and took on a whole new gig signing on as the fourth judge on American Idol. Most of you are on board with Ellen on Idol and she's also racking up endorsements from former contestants and even Paula Abdul herself.
Ellen Celebrates 51 With Portia and Presents
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were at the Chateau Marmont in LA last night for Ellen's 51st birthday celebration. The couple looked happy to get the party started hand-in-hand as they headed into the event. In addition to getting a gift of bubble wrap from Amy Poehler yesterday, Ellen had one more special present on her big day — her TV program was nominated in the category of Outstanding Talk Show Episode at this year's GLAAD Media Awards.
Ellen and Portia Are Better Off Walking
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi took their dogs for a walk in LA on Wednesday. Portia's had the Summer off from filming Better Off Ted, though new episodes are still airing and she'll be back to work soon on their second season. Ellen is also enjoying a hiatus from her show but she will be one of the many big stars at the Teen Choice Awards this weekend.
Ellen and Portia Got Married!
As expected, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married Saturday afternoon. Their rep said, "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles." The women announced their engagement back in May.
Ellen and Portia Party to Spread Awareness for Animals
Last week, Ellen DeGeneres used her blog to speak out against CA Proposition 8, but last night she switched gears to host a party with Portia de Rossi in support of Prop 2. Tobey Maguire, Jared Leto and Amy Smart were just a few of the celebs that came out to support the Proposition regarding treatment of farm animals. Ellen's doing her part to stay politically active before the elections in November, but she's also been enjoying her life as a newlywed.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi may not have had time for an official honeymoon, but they looked like a couple of cute newlyweds in Malibu on Sunday. They even got a special surprise visit from another cute duo — Gavin and Kingston, who were also playing the day away at the beach. Ellen and Portia are still up in the air about whether or not they'll have their own kids someday, but for now one of our favorite couples of Summer are keeping busy with work projects like Ellen's show, which returns next week!

The GLAAD Media Awards came to LA on Saturday night with another star-studded red carpet. Kathy Griffin couldn't help but show off her "banging bikini bod" yet again when she took the stage to accept her award.
