DJ Hero Launches With a Star-Studded Bang

Guitar Hero's highly anticipated spinoff game, DJ Hero, launched in LA last night, already boasting quite the celebrity following. Eminem looked a lot more comfortable rapping with Jay-Z yesterday than he did at the MTV Movie Awards, though the show's writer admitted that the stunt was all staged and rehearsed. DJ AM showed off his real-life turntable skills for the crowd, which included Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves, Abbie Cornish, and Ryan Phillippe. Despite the news that Pete Wentz's NYC bar is temporarily shutting down for serving minors, he and Ashlee Simpson joined the bash. Kim Kardashian came to hear Eminem's shoutout to her live as they partied the night away months before the game's release this Fall.

Eminem vs Kim Part 2

It's the same battle all over again. You would have thought these two would have learned something from the first time they were married, divorced and fighting every other day. It was announced earlier this week that Eminem had filed for divorce. Now he had to release an official statement to counter Kim's interview on some local radio station. Kim was talking about him being back on sleeping pills and wanting to do counseling but it sounds like she should have just kept her mouth shut. Here's a tiny bit of Eminem's reaction but the entire back and forth is after the jump.

"First, her allegations regarding my status post-rehab are both untrue and unfortunate. Second, she was aware that I was filing for divorce. We both tried to give our marriage another chance and quickly realized that a wedding doesn't fix the underlying problems."

One day after Eminem filed divorce papers, and 83 days after they remarried, Kim Mathers called a Detroit-area morning show to tell her side of the story.

"He's having problems with, you know, his problem that he had," she said, an apparent reference to the sleep-medication dependency for which Eminem was hospitalized last summer. "I was hoping we could get counseling and work it out, you know? â€¦

"Right after he came home from his rehab, we started to have a few problems, and I thought it was going to be in our best interest to delay the wedding," said Mathers, who was remarried Jan. 14 to her high school sweetheart.

"But he really pushed it and I thought it was really going to be something that worked this time," she said.

Eminem, however, has not spoken with her in about six weeks, she said, and surprised her by having her served with divorce papers.

"I don't really necessarily want to get divorced," said Mathers, whose first marriage to Eminem lasted from 1999 to 2001. "I was hoping he was going to come home and say, `I got us a counselor, let's go.' But you know it didn't work out that way. I got an attorney at the door instead."

In a statement released Thursday afternoon through his publicist, Eminem said: "The details surrounding both my marriage and subsequent filing for divorce are private, and I had hoped to keep them that way for the sake of my family. However, a few of Kim's statements in a radio interview this morning need to be addressed.

"First, her allegations regarding my status post-rehab are both untrue and unfortunate. Second, she was aware that I was filing for divorce. We both tried to give our marriage another chance and quickly realized that a wedding doesn't fix the underlying problems."

The 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, remarried Kimberley Anne Scott a month after the couple announced they had reconciled and were getting back together. The pair grew up in the suburbs along Eight Mile Road, Detroit's northern border.

Eminem has won nine Grammys, including best rap album for "The Slim Shady LP," "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show." He won an Oscar for the song "Lose Yourself" from "8 Mile," the semi-autobiographical 2002 film in which he starred.

K-Fed Ain't No Eminem

When I first heard Kevin was working on an album I laughed. When I heard he was calling himself the next Eminem, I was on the floor laughing. Now that I have actually heard the song I am understanding why Britney was laughing at her own husband. Poor K-Fed - he is in for a seriously rude awakening. Listen to his new song here. It's called Y'all Ain't Ready. Are you laughing yet?

Besides, Eminem looks way better than K-Fed. Not sure if this is the actual album cover but it looks like it is. I love that it "features" Britney on the album. That's a way to try to sell more albums.

Lindsay in July Elle

For the daily Lohan fix, I am posting a ridiculous quote of Lindsay's upcoming July Elle issue. Just Jared has more pics from the issue and as much as I prefer Linds with the red hair, these photos just don't do much for me.

The quote was in US Weekly this weekend. It said, On Men, "Black guys love me - Damon (Dash), P.Diddy. 50 Cent called my agent for my number. He said he was watching Mean Girls and loved it. I was freaking out! The first think I thought was, Where's Eminem? I'm in love with him!"

Hmm, just the visual of that seems so wrong. Eminem and Lindsay - wonder what his reaction would be to that quote.

In other Lindsay news, Page Six reports that Linds is still pissed at Ashlee Simpson for dating her first love, Wilmer. In fact, Lindsay denied the Simpson sisters access to her MTV Movies after party.

Gwen's Just Happy to Be Nominated

But she's pissed MTV is not having her perform at the VMA's. NY Daily News reports that the solo artist who is nominated for 6 awards will not be going to the event next week "because MTV refused to let her perform at the show."

I'm personally not a huge Gwen fan so I could care less that she won't be at the awards. There are so many other great performers like Coldplay, Mariah, Kanye West, Green Day and Kelly Clarkson. Let's be honest, Kelly is a much bigger star then Gwen and I think her ego is bruised, so now she is making a big stink for being left out. Besides, we just saw her perform at the Teen Choice awards and her trying to reenact Eminem's performance where he had an entourage follow him from the street to the stage was nowhere near as good as his original. Sorry Gwen but I say stop whining - show up and smile.
