Fab Flash: PETA Names Worst-Dressed Celebrities of 2008

PETA announced today that Aretha Franklin is "queen" of their annual worst-dressed list.

The online poll, which scolds those who "drape themselves" in fur, leather, and exotic skins, also named Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue, and Marilyn Manson as top offenders.

Aretha Franklin: How 'bout some R-E-S-P-E-C-T for animals? Aretha, when you waddled into the Grammys in yet another vulgar fur, you looked as if you were going to perform "I Am the Walrus" by the Beatles. You might be a queen, but you don't know jack about compassion.
Marilyn Manson: Always draped in leather from head to toe, Manson has enough skeletons in his closet to fill a pet cemetery. As if wearing dead animals isn't foul enough, Manson says that he wears his cow-skin pants 24/7- only peeling the smelly things off to have sex. That alone should be enough to tarnish leather's dated sex appeal. Manson might only be the shock rocker's stage name, but his wardrobe is a real-life tale of blood and guts.

Eva Longoria: Eva Longoria is short on compassion. In her trashy furs, she looks like the streetwalker of Wisteria Lane. Eva is one "desperate housewife" in need of a quickie divorce - from her stylist.
Lindsay Lohan: I Know Who Killed Me isn't just the title of Lindsay Lohan's latest bomb, it's the cry of the animals snuffed out so that this "mean girl" can pose in their pelts. Lindsay, there's no road to recovery for the foxes who are anally electrocuted so that you can look skanky.
Kate Moss: Nothing completes the transition from supermodel to super tramp like a fur coat. If Kate could see clearly through those bleary eyes, maybe she’d clear her closet of those furs.
Kylie Minogue: What does Kylie Minogue have in common with her python purse? They are both cold blooded. Come on Kylie, it's not cool to clutch an accessory made by nailing snakes to a tree and skinning them alive.

Eva Longoria grabbed some coffee in LA wearing a T-Bags maxi dress. Though I am not a huge fan of the distracting geometric print, I do like the color scheme. She shows us how petite girls can fake looking tall - just throw on some chunky wedges for maximum height! The Fendi sunglasses and Prada handbag add some extra cha-ching to the outfit and take it from casual to high-end.

Victoria Makes the Most of LA Before Joining Becks in Milan

Victoria Beckham stepped out in a white dress and a shimmery grey smoky eye for an event at Eva Longoria's restaurant Beso in Los Angeles last night. The skin-tight dress highlighted Posh's thin figure, and sparked concerns about her weight loss, which is thought to be due to the stress of David moving to Milan. While Victoria had planned stay in LA with the kids, she's now told The Sun the whole family will be going: "It will literally be for two months, because the season finishes here in LA and David will then go to train with AC Milan. We are so supportive, myself and the children. It’s a great opportunity for him. It will be a wonderful experience for the family." Sounds fun!

Who Wore It Better? Matthew Williamson Coral Dress

Here is a supreme example of how two completely different vibes can be achieved using the same dress. Zoe Kravitz first discovered this Matthew Williamson coral dress back in November, when she wore it to a benefit gala. Like always, she gave it her own unique twist by throwing on a colorful sequin shrug, orange clutch, and nude sandals. Eva Longoria took a more subtle route by wearing the coral dress with gold peep-toe platforms and small earrings. Whose look do you prefer - Zoe's layered one or Eva's pared down version?

Eva's Still Trying to Turn as Many Heads as She Cannes

Eva Longoria doesn't have any movies showing at the Cannes Film Festival, but she won't let that stop her from grabbing attention using every over-the-top dress in her collection. She did take a short break to frolic on the beach with Ken Paves for awhile in her more tame yellow dress, but then stepped it right back up to party in her ridiculous (but kind of cool) green peacock number last night. Clearly she's trying to make a splash but we doubt that Eva will be able to steal the film festival focus away from Angelina and her twins, no matter how hard she tries.

Found! Eva Longoria's Red Ruffle Dress

The petite Eva Longoria wore a darling red ruffle dress to the "Clothes Off Our Own Back" event that instantly caught my eye. I did some digging because I knew you Fab ladies would love it. Turns out, it's Plenty by Tracy Reese and it's a part of her Spring 2007 collection. What makes it different from all the other red dresses out there is the black straps and sophisticated volume. This lady in red is on fire!
