I just found a new brand of exercise clothes that I am in love with. Although the company is called Beyond Yoga, they have a variety of styles which can be used for any type of movement. In the photo below, you can see the Straight Back Cami ($60) and the Supplex Short Shorts ($58) in action.

I love to wear bright red and pinks when I work out, not just because tomorrow is Valentine's Day, but because these colors convey a sense of happiness and confidence, as well as femininity. Maybe it's just in my mind, but I always feel like I have more energy if I'm wearing a hot-pink top as opposed to a dull and boring black one.
So many great companies make brilliant red and pink tops.

Now that it's getting so chilly out, I'm sure many of you have moved your workout indoors to the gym or your home. The benefits of prenatal exercise cannot be doubted. From a better night's sleep and shorter labors to jump-starting postpartum weight loss, exercise should be considered an essential part of an expectant mama's daily routine. However, as the body begins to outgrow your favorite gym clothes, it can be hard to find the perfect pieces to make that visit to the gym or yoga studio comfortable.

The magic pill to weight loss is a mirage in my opinion, but companies continue to design products to help you burn more calories and drop pounds. As if the seven shady weight loss products I recently posted about weren't enough, I just discovered Body Togs Wearable Weights.
At first I thought they were for strength training exercises instead of dumbbells or resistance bands.

Pregnancy isn't the time to try your fastest pace at a mile run, or beat your record for holding a plank, but most doctors suggest moderate exercise. So long as you listen to the warning signs, and take it slow, you should continue trips to yoga, the gym or long walks until your doctor tells you to slow your roll.
Finding maternity workout gear that's comfortable and doesn't restrict your growing belly can be a workout in itself.
