New cast member Jenny Slate went from virtual unknown to Internet phenomenon on her first-ever episode of Saturday Night Live over the weekend. She dropped a now infamous "F-Bomb" during a biker-chick sketch that had her saying "freaking" about 50 times — you can barely blame her, it's a pretty easy slip, especially for someone new to live TV. Blogs immediately jumped to Slate's defense, but apparently the alarm was unnecessary.

What does every teacher get on the first day of school? An apple. Smiling faces would be more than enough for any educator, but parents often usher them in with a less than shiny fruit that ends up in the teacher's lounge.

Would you like a lox schmear with that bagel in your forehead?
Club kids in Japan are kicking extreme body modification up a notch by having lumps and bumps injected into their foreheads (and other body parts) via saline inflations or injections of saline into bags that are inserted under the skin. These self-inflicted deformations (like the bagel face saline implantations above) look insane, but they can be deflated by the next day.

This episode of Maxed Out features Julia, 28, and Mike, 30, a couple on the fast track to losing everything. All the big financial moments arrived at once for Mike and Julia — they have two mortgages and a baby, plus a ton of unmanageable debt. They're living in the townhouse they purchased before their condo sold, on the assumption that the condo would sell immediately.

Smoking and Skin Damage
- The skin of smokers ages more rapidly than the skin of non-smokers, even in areas of the body not exposed to sunlight, according to a 2007 study. Women in the study who smoked also had much lower levels of vitamin E secretions in their skin. Vitamin E may protect the skin from sun damage.
- There may be an association between smoking and higher frequency of a type of acne (noninflammatory acne) in adult women, according to a European study.
Antioxidants and Your Skin
- A study in the Journal of Nutrition found that a combination of antioxidants and trace elements supplementation raises the risk of skin cancer in women, but not in men.
Ultraviolet Radiation
- Overall, exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight (radiation referred to as UVA or UVB) accounts for about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging.
- UVB primarily affects the outer skin layers.

If you still manage to have a job on Wall Street, you might not realize that the good ol' days are over. Yesterday news broke that Wall Street bankers gave themselves $18.4 billion in bonuses last year — that's the same amount they received in 2004. President Obama angrily reacted, saying:
That is the height of irresponsibility.

I've always been skeptical about the power of wipes; be it cleaning a baby's bottom or the face of Yours Truly, I've never believed they can get the job done. So, when I tested out the new Clorox Green Works Natural Cleaning Wipes, I held my expectations low. But my experience with Clorox's eco-friendly Green Works line, which is all made of plant- and mineral-based ingredients, had been wonderful, so I had hope.
