What to Expect on the High Street Next Spring
Attending catwalk shows and reporting back is always exciting, but when you see the High Street interpretations it gives you an idea of how the trends will really manifest. Yesterday, Arcadia held their Spring press day which presented the items due to hit store from January 2010. Although I can't show you any images just yet (patience is a virtue!) I wanted to tell you a bit about what to expect.

Last week at the Music Unites Fall Masquerade Gala, Kerry Washington and Georgina Chapman wore pretty, poufy frocks from Georgina's coveted Marchesa line. Both dresses were white, but notice how the two styles varied in texture. Kerry's tulle embellishment and streamlined shape gave a more architectural appeal, while Georgina's feathered creation emoted flirty, flapper energy.

Leave it to leggy Gisele to bring sexy to the Met stage. Check out the Super sporting a shimmery sequined blue mini by Versace and matching peep-toe booties. The detailed bodice gives her dress structure while a flapper-inspired hem creates flirty movement.

Everything Rachel is wearing during her latest LA excursion is entirely on trend: the color nude, the heather gray tights, sky-high Louboutins, Ray-Bans. Her fringed Phillip Lim dress exudes a modern flapper look and the gray tights feed into the softness. The black Loubs, Wayfarers, and black wallet, on the other hand, add a pinch of severity.

Elizabeth Banks celebrated the night wearing a flapper-inspired, fringed dress by Roberto Cavalli and T-strap sandals by Sergio Rossi. Check out how the scalloped hemline and metallic touches give her look dimension and depth. LC wasn't the only flapper that night, Kim Kardashian showed off yet another costume with her NFL boyfriend Reggie Bush.
