Poppy gave her frock a hard edge adding a tough leather jacket, black belt, flat sandals, and a metallic clutch. Heidi opted for a more Southern-belle vibe adorning herself with a floppy pink hat, matching watch, white Chanel bag, and peep-toe pumps. Same dress but two totally different ways. There's no denying that florals have taken over the world of fashion this Summer and will continue to reign through the winter. Tiers and ruffles too have gradually encroached on our wardrobe. However, you can have too much of a good thing. When ruffles met florals for this dress, there was a risk that it could be over powering but these girls took on the challenge. Heidi Range was spotted in her dress at the Isle of Wight festival back in June and she teamed it with a cute pink bolero. Nikki was spotted in hers yesterday and wore it alone. What to Expect on the High Street Next Spring

Attending catwalk shows and reporting back is always exciting, but when you see the High Street interpretations it gives you an idea of how the trends will really manifest. Yesterday, Arcadia held their Spring press day which presented the items due to hit store from January 2010. Although I can't show you any images just yet (patience is a virtue!) I wanted to tell you a bit about what to expect.

First up, I checked out Miss Selfridge which was very girly. It was divided in to two key trends; neutrals and '90s florals. There were nude shades covered in sequins for flapper style dresses with subtle jacquard floral prints and delicate feminine fabrics. These were contasted against bright, floral prints, grungey designs and '90s boho.

Next up was Topshop, which is always the most trend driven of the High Street stores. They split the Spring collection in to four key themes; body armour, la latina, meadow and techno traveller. Body armour was my favourite part with sportswear inspired designs and '90s column maxi dresses. La latina is the high Summer collection with bright fun prints, whilst meadow is a bit more subdued with soft floral prints. Finally, techno traveller will appeal to festival fans as pieces were bright, cheerful with embellishment and fringing.

I was thoroughly smitten by the way Leighton Meester worked her Louis Vuitton Resort moody floral frock at Paris Fashion Week. I loved how she topped it with a vest, a belt, and wore dressy socks with sandals. Aussie model Catherine McNeil must have loved it too because she wore the same dress to a party at the LV store in Melbourne. Instead of a vest, however, Catherine topped hers with a sharp black blazer, and and finished the look with peep-toe boots and a bright pink LV clutch. Both ladies look stylish in moody florals, but who wore it better?

Open House: How Do You Dress Your Thanksgiving Table?

When it comes to the Thanksgiving table, how you dress it is often as important to the hostess as what food sits upon it. Over the years, I've seen family members fuss over table settings, switching out placemats, rethinking china sets, and shifting floral arrangements.

I admit that I'm known to fuss over my Thanksgiving table as well. The first year that my hubby and I hosted Thanksgiving dinner for friends and family, I stayed up late into the night sewing a dozen napkins, pressing tablecloths, and arranging flowers. In the end though, it was all worth it. Not only did the food turn out wonderfully, but the table looked spectacular as well. Plus, as far as I'm concerned, deciding on color schemes and flower arrangements is all part of the fun.

On Our Radar: Luella Spring Collection Now Available

Ever since Jaime Winstone was spotted out partying in a Luella floral skirt, we've been lusting after the Spring collection. Pop UK already has her tiered Luella skirt but now the line is finally available online! Hoorah!

As always, Luella has produced a must-have printed t-shirt that will be a dressed down favourite of everybody from Lily Allen to Alexa Chung. This season it features a waving batman (£55) or an unidentified superhero (£55). There are also lots of florals from this funky prom dress (£325) to the Mary Jane collar blouse (£175). If only I could have it all!

Look of the Day: Crazy About Flowers
