Her mustard-gold hair accessory, looks like a cross between a flower and an oversize bow.

Chanel's Barn Bonanza!

Karl does country. It's impossible to guess Karl's next move. And who would have thought it would be to the barn? His Spring collection, replete with stars and spectacles, lightened the mood. The clothes were frilly, feminine, and colorful, adorned with thematic accessories like Chanel clogs, flowers in the hair, and drippy jewels. Prince was there - random - and so were Chanel devotees Rihanna, Claudia Schiffer, Dasha Zhukova, and Clemence Poesy. With Karl playing a part, and Lily Allen serenading, it looked like a thrilling fashion hoedown.

The Look For Less: Juicy Couture Flower Headband

In the midst of putting together my outfit for a friend's wedding next month, I hit a wall with my accessories. Yes, I have tons but I couldn't find a piece that could complement my abstract print dress. I then experienced an "a-ha" moment! Why not decorate my head instead of the per usual necklace or bangle? This Juicy Couture Flower Headband, ($48) would look super-cute with my 'fit but there's no way I'm paying that much for a hair accessory.

This Arden B. Flower Anywhere Pin, ($14) is just as snazzy. It'll give my ensemble a nice vintage vibe and I like how you can also use it as a brooch. You can't beat the price.

These Headbands Will Have You Feeling Zippy

The zippered clothing and accessories trend has been going strong for quite some time. Take, for instance, contemporary artist Cat Chow’s designs, whose fabrics are often intermingled with everyday items like corks, dollar bills, and even zippers. It probably comes as no surprise that now this style is popping up in the hair accessories category.

Earlier this year, I mentioned the $20 Urban Outfitters Zipper Flower Headband (middle photo) in my April must haves, and now, it looks like two other ones have joined the mix, at both higher and lower price points. Hooray. For a low-cost option, try the $6 Forever 21 Zipper Trim Flower Headband (on the left), and for a little bit of a splurge, check out the $39 Bebe Zipper Flower Headband (photo on right).

Trend Alert: Black Flowers at Twilight

When I think of flowers in my hair, I picture bright colors and island vacations, not quite the things I'd associate with teen vampire movies. However, these attendees of the Twilight premiere in LA all chose floral adornments. Hmm, perhaps that song oughta go, "If you're going to a vampire movie, be sure to wear black flowers in your hair."
Anyway, the three ladies had different takes on this hair accessory – but all chose to make a more subtle statement with fake flowers in neutral shades.

Take Jennie Garth, who uses a beaded flower-shaped barrette to hold her hair over her ear – pretty! Then one of the film's stars, Nikki Reed, held back a messy, sideways braid with a black flower I swear I bought at H&M. Finally, Catherine Hardwicke wears a huuuge flower on her ponytail – she's the film's director, so why not go over the top?

Who Wears the Metallic Headband Best?

While we're still seeing everything from satiny flowers to wispy feathers (hello, Gossip Girl), metallic headbands are also ruling the fashion scene. Although we haven't seen Mischa Barton wearing her signature style as of late, she does carry a line of headbands in collaboration with accessories designer Stacey Lapidus. As for the hair accessories business, Mischa's not alone. Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960 collection includes metallic headpieces, which she told Pop were her favorite of the line. Then there's Paris Hilton. She has her perfume line to keep her busy, but that doesn't stop her sporting this Grecian-like adornment in sparkly silver tones. When it comes to this metallic headband trend, which gal does it best - or are you ready to just put this shimmery look behind us already?

Would You Wear Flowers in Your Hair?

With hair accessories suddenly back in fashion (I'm talking scrunchies, feathers at Chanel and headscarves at Paul Smith) it's no wonder that floral tributes are also back in style.

Amy Winehouse often performs with oversize, blood-red roses in her barnet, and Daisy Lowe recently channeled a hippy vibe, wearing tiny rosebuds strewn across her mane.

I remember five years ago wearing big, floral hair clips from Accessorize, but I'm not feeling that girlie nowadays.

Beauty Mark It Results: Growing the Hair Out Gracefully

You've all probably experienced the dreaded "growing out the hair" plight. Yep, I've been there myself. Whatever your situation might entail, growing out your hair might not be so bad after all. Last week, I asked you to help me come up with some ideas, whether they be products, accessories, or supplements to help those who are seeking longer lengths.

Fab Flash: Patricia Field Lends a Hand to HSN

I'm not surprised Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field is already on to her next endeavor. But it's official: her wardrobe for the hit movie was a success. Jonesing for a piece of the House of Field? Tune in to HSN. The flame-haired stylist has partnered with the shopping network on an exclusive brand, Destination Style New York. On September 23 it will launch on TV and on hsn.com.

The collection, designed by Field and longtime House of Field designer David Dalrymple, will consist of 50 pieces ranging from sportswear and denim to dresses and accessories. Will it have some SATC flavor? You betcha. According to Mindy Grossman, HSN's chief executive officer, "This collection is very accessible, with something for everyone. We have the iconic flower dress from the beginning scene in the Sex and the City movie, but we are also selling the flower as a pin, so customers can have just a piece of what we are offering."

This T-shirt dress printed with Field's iconic Martine illustrations is an example of the bold statement Pat Field will make on HSN. Oh and the best part? The collection will retail from $39 to $199. Not too bad for a piece of the Field pie.

Love It or Hate It? Solange Knowles' Floral Affair

Don't just think of Solange Knowles as Beyoncé's little sister. She has her own thing going on - witness this bouncy, '60s-inspired video - and I love how her hair is shiny and curly. With that said: Whoa, that's a lot of flower on her head. I'm all for wild accessories, but this goes a little far for my tastes. What do you think? Hit or miss?
