Ed, Taylor and Penn Take a Break, While Chace Keeps Moving
Did you watch Gossip Girl last night? I'm avidly watching the third season of the show at the moment, and the cast are still busy in New York filming further episodes. Yesterday Penn was caught by autograph hunters as he took a break, while Taylor sported her shades to check on her phone — her legs seem to get longer in every picture!
DWTS' Julianne Hough to Star Opposite Chace in Footloose
For the upcoming "more mature" remake of Footloose, we've already met our lead male (the year's hottest bachelor, Chace Crawford), who will take over the memorable role originally played by Kevin Bacon. Now they've found Chace a leading lady in Julianne Hough, a country singer and professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars.
The news piece doesn't go into details but I'm assuming Hough will play Ariel, the defiant and fiercely stubborn minister's daughter who befriends the new kid in town, Ren McCormack (especially after he takes part in a rousing game of Chicken with tractors).
Chace Crawford to Kick Off His Sunday Shoes
The Gossip Girl boys are getting some iconic roles these days. First Ed Westwick is cast as Heathcliff in the Wuthering Heights adaptation and now this: Chace Crawford will take the lead role, originally played by Kevin Bacon, in the remake of Footloose.
Directed by choreographer extraordinaire Kenny Ortega (Dirty Dancing, Newsies, High School Musical(s)), this project will be "a more mature, edgy version of Footloose than the original."
Sugar Bits — Amy Winehouse Revealed In New Documentary
- Amy Winehouse is to be the subject of a new documentary. Filmmaker Daphne Barak spent significant amounts of time with Amy and her family in St Lucia recently for the project. It's also been reported that Amy was hospitalised briefly for the third time in three months following a drinking session.— Press Assoc.
- Angels and Demons has gone straight to the top of the UK Box Office, taking in £6.1mill in its first weekend.

- Kelis has filed for divorce from Nas. The couple met at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in 2002 and married in 2005. Kelis is seven months pregnant with Nas's son.
Would You Want to See Chace Crawford Star in Footloose?
Chace Crawford had his bags packed as he left an apartment in LA yesterday. After a long season filming Gossip Girl, Chace is looking toward Summer plans, and he reportedly tried out for the Footloose remake this weekend. Last week, you all were pretty split about the news musical veteran Zac Efron dropped out of the project.

Zac Efron Drops Out of Footloose Remake — Good News or Bad News?
Zac Efron was in Australia last week for the premiere of his movie 17 Again but it's his next project, or former project that is making headlines. He apparently dropped out of the Footloose remake he signed on to star in almost two years ago. The movie is going on without him, though it must be a pretty big blow to lose their leading man.
