Fab Finding Follow-Up: Garage Sale Hopping

Aren't garage sales so much fun? It had been a while since I had been to one so I did some garage sale hopping over the weekend. I got all sorts of funky and unique jewelry, clothes, and home goods. This outing required an ultra comfortable getup so I asked for sneakers or flats, and maybe some leggings or comfy jeans.

I started you off with this Charlotte Russe Striped Ruffle Scarf ($9) because I thought it would make me look cute. Let's see your work!

Look #1, created by Whiplash, is earthy chic. The brown hues pop beautifully against the white and gray.

Come Fab Finding With Me: Garage Sale Hopping

Aren't garage sales so much fun? It's been a while since I've been to one so I'm planning on doing some garage sale hopping this weekend. I'm seeking funky and unique clothing, jewelry, home goods, and anything else that catches my eye. This outing requires an ultra comfortable getup: sneakers or flats, and maybe some leggings or comfy jeans. But remember, I still need to be stylish.

Class Act: High-Heel Workout?

Looks like there is a new fitness class on the scene. The focus is to get you in shape, but not in the traditional meaning. Rather than focusing on burning calories, the goal of the high-heel workout it to get you in shape to walk comfortably in heels. The first part of the class is done wearing your fave heels while performing simple dance moves and a few other exercises. After changing into sneakers, the second half of the class includes classic leg toning moves like squats and lunges along with core-strengthening moves to aid posture. Those three-inch stilettos can really throw off your balance. Here is a video snippet of the class.

I am the kind of gal that reserves high heels for special occasions, since they do funky things to my feet like create corns and cause some serious neck and back pain. I think this class is a little silly, but I fear I may be in the minority here, as many of you wear heels three times a week. What do you think about a high-heel workout? Is it silly or practical? Trend Alert: Funky Kicks

Sneakers are pissed at flats. They've taken over as our casual shoe pick of the day. Well, they're not going down without a fight! This season, sneakers have been made over with new color, patterns, and textures. Funky kicks are a fun, sporty alternative to wearing flats so why not give them another go-around? I dare you to be bold, not beige!

Power Couple: Rihanna and Chris Brown

You know that when Chris Brown performs his song "Kiss Kiss," he's probably thinking about his hot tamale girlfriend Rihanna. Although these two stylish hip-hop lovebirds haven't formally announced their relationship, the proof is in the pictures. They are fairly young - Chris is 19, Rihanna is 20 - but have been going strong for some time now.

Seeing them cuddle in a club and kiss in a pool is exciting, but that's not what draws me in. I am intrigued by their no-holds-barred fashion sense. Between the two of them, there's so much funkiness going on. In particular, I love that they have maintained their unique sense of style. Most of us wouldn't change our style for a man and that goes for the eclectic Rihanna as well. Chris also stays true to his signature look: baggy jeans, colorful Nike sneakers, and bright hats. Plus, the way I see it, a couple that shops together, stays together!

Reebok Freestyle Forever Reign-Bow Sneaker: Love It or Hate It?

Back in 1982, during the height of big hair and aerobics, Reebok came out with some funky sneakers. 25 years later, the brand is celebrating with a collection called Freestyle Forever. This Reebok Freestyle Forever Reign-Bow Sneaker, $65, is clearly a part of that circle. It's bold, it's bright and it's fuchsia! It's too outlandish and outdated to wear on the streets but I appreciate it as a memorabilia piece. What do you say?

The Broderick boys hit the streets of Manhattan Sunday afternoon in their matching puffy Patagonia Down jackets and funky lil sneakers.

While I think James Wilkie's silhouette is more akin to his mum, Sarah Jessica Parker, he's got his father, Matthew's fashion sense. All he needs to complete his daddy's look are some Top Gun aviator sunglasses.
