I lost my taste for downloading screensavers a while back, and now I get more pumped up about a great new Firefox extension (am I mature, or just boring now?). That all changed when I saw that I could download Paul Rudd, my gorgeous, brainy, vintage-Nintendo-shilling crush — I couldn't click my Mighty Mouse fast enough.
Paul Rudd is one of Funny or Die's Celebrity Screensavers series, and I couldn't commend them more for their excellent taste.

When we caught up with Lauren Conrad, the sunny California starlet was relaxing in her home we all know so well from The Hills. Lauren was friendly and down to earth, which was just what we expected from the everyday girl gone famous who we've watched grow up over the past five years. She stopped mid-sentence to ask Lo what music they've been listening to and walked over to her fridge — around boxes from her basement flooding that morning!

If you're finished with your Christmas shopping and sitting around with your family drinking eggnog today consider downloading SantaSnaps, a fun Photo Booth application that allows you to "dress up" as Santa, the Nutcracker, a reindeer, a funny elf or a combination of the four.
To use the application you click on the Santa Snaps icon, take a self portrait using an iSight camera (just open Photo Booth on your MacBook) and add some holiday cheer without spending 20 minutes Photoshopping the picture. Santa Snaps is a free application, but if you feel like giving the creators accept donations.

If hosting a holiday cocktail party is too formal for your entertaining style, host an ugly sweater themed bash instead! Invite all of your friends over and tell them to wear their most obnoxious Christmas sweater. This type of party is fun, informal, and hysterical.

Okay, so I didn't - I just had to take my shot at the cheapest April Fools' joke of the year. I can move on now. One thing is for certain, geeks love April Fools' Day and pranks.

Tis the season of vacation, which means many of you are jetting cross countries and oceans for some much needed relaxation, exploration and adventure. That also means many of you are out bumping into technology, gadgets, ideas and stores you've never seen before.
Chuger recently returned from a work trip to Japan and Korea, where he noticed this great "Natural Internet Park."

When it comes to advertising and marketing there's no one recipe that satiates and titillates all cultures and what works in one country can come off as crude, confusing or darn right silly in another. The British "Mac or PC" ads, which are similar to those aired in the US but laced with British humor, were called "too smug" and reportedly made Apple a "less favorable" company with the UK public. So what does that difference in cultural subtitles look like in other countries?

Women and technology is always a tender subject. Some women (and men) couldn't give a hoot about the newest downloads or gizmos, but the rest of us - specifically you readers - use technology everyday and have most of the same usage and buying habits as your male peers. We use technology to make our lives easier.

Remember 1988, that simple time when there were no cell phone or iPod commercials and the only iPhone on the market was a clunky cord phone? Well, the era of pay phones and pen pals came to a close in 1989, when the first ever cell phone commercial aired, launching what was sure to be decades of 30-second signal strength battles.
Notice how Centel plays the "can you hear me now?"
