The Chateau Marmont hosted GQ's Men of the Year Awards last night in LA. A few of the magazine's honorees, including Zach Galifianakis, Tom Ford, and Neil Patrick Harris joined forces with starlets like Olivia Wilde and AnnaLynne McCord. January Jones hit the carpet alongside Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter as Alexander Skarsgard, who won a "Man Who Saved HBO" award, went from LAX to the bash — click here to check out the full list of winners.

Dear Savvy,
I was considering applying for a job in the online social media industry, but got turned off when I noticed the listing asks for a cover letter, resume, writing and blog samples, and a Facebook page link. I'm fully aware that employers use Facebook and Google to research candidates, but I don't like the fact that they want to scope me out before they meet me. I'm smart, qualified, have relevant experience and I have a fairly normal Facebook, but would feel funny sharing it with a potential employer.

Move over Grey Gardens, there's a new cat-lady documentary in the gah-den. The trailer for the dutifully titled Cat Lady ("when cats mean 'meow' to you than people") opens with a former banker taking stock of the kittens living in her house. (All 123).

I will be first one to admit that I find gifs unimaginably hilarious. Sure, there are some serious and professional uses for animated gifs, but all the ones I notice are the ridiculous and funny ones.
Obviously then, I want to make my own and now I can, with the website Gickr.

The realities of parenthood and raising baby are funny in their own right, so why do sitcom producers feel the need take them over the top? ABC's Notes From the Underbelly focused on the "ooh's," "ahhs," and "ails" of pregnancy, but in such an overdone manner that I found myself reaching for the remote. Then, the same network launched another promising show which incorporated the experiences of real women and featured a manny and single mothers.

I am so grateful to therewillbebud for introducing me to the Benny Hillifier, the site that turns any YouTube video into immediate Benny Hill slapstick, complete with a sped-up version (highly recommended) and the universally loved (or reviled) Benny Hill theme song from the show that seemed to consist mostly of a portly British man chasing women with short skirts around and making lewd faces at them. If you want some inspiration on what kinds of videos are funny for Hillifying, just check the video and the links below to see how I wasted time yesterday. TGIF!

- The next time someone asks you a question that is "Googleable" a new funny site called Let Me Google That For You lets you do a Google Search and then copy the search link so you can send it to that friend. When the person clicks on the link, it will direct them to the actual search results page. Funny and harmless.
