Well color me pink! Starlets have been favoring visions in magenta (or magneta a friend of mine once called it), fuchsia and hot pink hues. Now I'm not much of a pink lady but these sure do look fun.

After reading Summer Thornton's wallpaper tips Friday, I imagine some of you are feeling inspired to break out the wheatpaste and pick up a double-roll. If you have expensive taste like me (unfortunately), perhaps some of the wallpapers you lust after are still out of your budget. As Summer suggests, one option is to only wallpaper an accent wall.

YumSugar Community member Lauren picked up a bunch of purple asparagus at the market, and her beautiful bounty reminded me of a San Francisco Chronicle article about violet-hued vegetables such as artichokes, carrots, potatoes, and cauliflower. Turns out a dazzling color isn't the only selling point: purple produce also contains anthocyanin, an antioxidant. I happen to love fuschia baby carrots and indigo-colored cauliflower.

At Oscars 2010, the stars came out to shine in voluminous ball gowns. We saw Jennifer Lopez in a sculptural Armani Privé, Penelope Cruz in maroon Donna Karan Couture, and Vera Farmiga in bright fuschia Marchesa. Check out our video to see who won our Arrive in Style Award for the Belle of the Ball.

Oscar time is nearly here and I am beyond excited! I can't wait to see the flashbulbs on Sunday, and all those gorgeous dresses and hairstyles. I've been following the award season beauty trends for a while and I have a few ideas of what to expect, but I thought it was worth catching up with an expert.

In this 700-square-foot Tribeca loft designed by Ghislaine Viñas, precision and simplicity rule the roost, along with one particular: pink. The owner, a life-long pink enthusiast, wanted to give her family home some personality with her beloved bright pink and magenta hues. So the focus of the living room is this bright '70s-style corner sectional, and white and light oak give the space lightness and a neutral background to tame the vibrancy of the furnishings.

On a recent trip to my favorite local farmers market, the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, I bought way too many vegetables — including a few bunches of elegant French breakfast radishes from Petaluma-based Marin Roots Farm.
Although radishes are available in Northern California year-round, it's during warm Summer months when one can truly appreciate them for their crisp texture and spicy-juicy bite. These root vegetables are related to the turnip and horseradish families, and come in a myriad of varieties, from my dainty, fine-textured breakfast radishes, with their fuschia-hued base and white tips, to fiery red globes, trippy-looking watermelon radishes, and large, sweet daikons.

I was incredibly impressed by the high level of quality at the Kingston University show. Each of the students ensured their pieces were finished to a high spec showing off their individual style. There was a lot cohesion within the mini collections too as they ran with a theme and stuck to it.

Sometimes all a girl needs to put a little spring in her step at home is a snappy new throw pillow. The Dragonflower Babysilk Throw Pillow ($156), new at Decorati, would certainly do the trick for this girl. Made of embroidered babysilk, which is similar to linen but with a shine.
