I recently stumbled across Snowdrops in Spring's home photos on Flickr, and was captivated by her feminine, country style. Snowdrops in Spring's home is located in Dublin, Ireland, on the top floor of an apartment block in a housing estate that was redeveloped from the grounds of an old mansion house. The estate is relatively young, and the grounds are beautifully preserved so that there are lots of green and old trees.

Director Jane Campion's film Bright Star chronicles the love affair between poet John Keats and his neighbor Fanny Brawne. Almost the entire film is shot in one location, the grounds of homes shared by the Brawne family and Keats's friend, the writer Charles Armitage Brown. I'm a total fan of period films, and this one is no exception.

I have to admit that my favorite parts of the 2006 film The Break-Up had less to do with the plot line and more to do with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous Chicago condo. Since Aniston's character is an art dealer, the movie is also chock full of great art. Check out my ideas for getting the look of the film.

I loathe the word cougar — used, for the most part, to try to humiliate women who date younger men (their "prey," known as cubs). But for better or worse, it's in the lexicon, which means that the idea that older women can still be sexy — and sexual — is out there, too. The following group of films shows that the cougar's been around in popular culture for a while, that cougar/cub desire is a two-way street, and that these couplings can be good, bad, or downright scary.

The last episode of Design Star narrowed the field from three to two designers. In my opinion, the designer who was eliminated (Lonnie) created the most cohesive and style-forward rooms out of the three. Everyone did a great job, though, and there are plenty of great ideas to take away from the latest episode.

The douchebag is everywhere. No matter how much we want to ignore him, he pops up with his arrogance, stupidity, and Ed Hardy shirts!
Since he doesn't seem to be going anywhere, he might as well amuse us.
