There are so many parties leading up to a wedding, but they all need not be formal, sit-down affairs. I propose (pun intended!) a garden party to celebrate your upcoming marriage. This way you can play games instead of just standing around drinking glass of champagne after glass of champagne trying to make small talk with your future aunt-in-law's third husband.
Lauren Tends to Her Garden Before Playing Games
Lauren Conrad stopped to grab lunch before hitting up Home Depot for garden supplies yesterday, twittering about her green thumb on her way out. Later in the evening she got dressed up for the Assassins Creed II video-game launch with her friends and former Hills costars Lo Bosworth and Stephanie Pratt. LC is also working hard on the sequel to her bestselling LA Candy — which could make a perfect addition to your holiday wish list — and relayed her excitement about the cover art for book number two which will hit the shelves next year.
Stars Shine At The Emmys Show and Behind The Scenes!
The stars arrived looking glam last night, and they were all there to see who would receive the statuettes at the Primetime Emmy Awards! 30 Rock and Mad Men were both big winners last night, taking the top Comedy Series and Drama Series trophies. Kristin Chenoweth was thrilled and tearful as she took to the podium to accept her Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for Pushing Daisies while Toni Collette won Best Actress in a Comedy for her amazing turn in The United States Of Tara.

Well, the Emmys are over, and we have our full list of winners. Were you guys surprised by this year's picks? (Check out all my Emmy polls here.) I thought the show started out pretty unexpectedly when underdogs Kristin Chenoweth and Toni Collete took home trophies, and there were a few other surprises along the way.
Gossip Girl Leaves the Upper East Side For Brooklyn
Jessica Szohr joined Penn Badgley and his on-screen family members Taylor Momsen and Matthew Settle yesterday to film Gossip Girl at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Kelly Rutherford, Blake Lively and Michelle Trachtenberg stepped out of the Upper East Side, as they keep working on the more glamorous than ever third season full of NYC landmarks. Ed Westwick was also on hand, and make sure to check out exclusive video of him discussing Chuck and Blair's future and the end of their "cat and mouse" game below.
