OK, I fudged a bit. The comic strip never actually showed Garfield taking a toke, but why else would the darn cat eat a purse? Those are some serious munchies is all I'm saying .

...is Samuel Beckett? A cartoon Hamlet? Whatever it is, I say, much improved.

This is a nice life if you can get it: this cat clearly has nothing better to do than to watch soap operas on the couch all day. Love his equally energetic friend lying on the coffee table in front of him. (If they're not careful, they're going to turn into Goliath.)

This is what happens when you have nothing more to do with your life than serve as the object of your owner's affection. Either this, or call yourself K-Fed. Kudos to Britney for finally kicking that cat to the curb!

It was a hot day in London today, but Ed Westwick, Dermot O'Leary, Ant and Dec, Ben Whishaw and Andrew Garfield were among the men that got all dressed up in their suits for the 2009 BAFTA TV Awards, alongside the glamorous women. I can't wait to hear what you think of their red carpet looks!

Look for some new status updates: Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg have been cast in The Social Network as the founders of Facebook.
Eisenberg has taken the role of Mark Zuckerberg, after both Shia LaBeouf and Michael Cera were rumored for it (Geek totally called it, btw!) Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield will play the two other Facebook founders; Timberlake is taking on Sean Parker (also founder of Napster), and Garfield is playing Eduardo Saverin.
I think Eisenberg is an excellent choice to play Zuckerberg — he has the right resemblance and can play awkward authentically.

Last night London was taken over by celebs attending the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball hosted by Alicia Keys. Russell Brand and Teresa Palmer were attached at the hip (and lips) all night – the twosome are still looking super-happy together! Peter Andre was without his love Katie Price, but mingled inside with guests like Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Rowland – who looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous yellow dress.

Gavin & Stacey and Harry Hill were the big winners with two gongs each at the BAFTA Television Awards at the London Palladium last night. After all the excitement of seeing the stars on the red carpet we settled in for Graham Norton's excellent hosting of the ceremony, which saw thirteen first time winners including Best Actor Andrew Garfield, Continuing Drama winner Holby City and International category winner Heroes. Favourite moments for me were Rob Brydon's hilarious presenting of the Comedy Programme Award, James Corden's surprise at winning the Comedy Performance BAFTA (and Ruth Jones' tears), Eileen Atkins' amusing acceptance speech for Best Actress, and good old Brucie receiving the Academy Fellowship.

The press room was packed last night as the winners and presenters filed through after presenting and picking up trophies at the BAFTA TV Awards. It was an exciting night for Skins stars Kaya Scodelario and Hannah Murray, who beamed as they held up the only award that BAFTA TV Awards audience had voted for, while Kenneth Branagh held up the Drama series award he picked up for Wallander. Other winners included Harry Hill, David Mitchell, The Bill, Mad Men and The X Factor — what an exciting, star-studded night!

Keira Knightley swapped her usual style for a cosy casual costume on the set of her latest film Never Let Me Go in the English countryside yesterday. She stars alongside Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield in the film adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel about the love between three young adults who spent their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school before discovering a dark secret. The shoot will last for nine weeks, so hopefully Keira will receive more affection-filled on set visits from her number one man Rupert Friend.
