Just yesterday I was talking about how Chris Pine is blowing up after the big success of Star Trek, and his name is already making headlines again this morning. Pine will likely be the next actor to take on the role of Jack Ryan in the next film adaption of the popular Tom Clancy novels. A few actors have taken on the role in the past, and other names have been attached to the project before, so let's take a look at the evolution of Jack Ryan — with a few of my own suggestions for who could take on the role.

George Clooney slipped into his assassin character and grabbed a rifle to film scenes for The American in Italy yesterday. As he works on his newest movie in the beautiful countryside, his upcoming films are trying to avoid a Clooney box office traffic jam. Up in the Air's release date was moved back to December 4 from November 13 so as not to compete with George's Men Who Stare at Goats, which comes out November 6.

George Clooney arrived in Toronto yesterday afternoon, and last night he stepped out for dinner with friends at a mall in the city. He's still in film festival mode after his time in Venice promoting The Men Who Stare at Goats, though he's switching gears slightly now to premiere Up in the Air. Most of you guys weren't really loving the mustache he grew for Goats, but George looks like his normal bare-faced and handsome self now that it's time to show off both his finished products.

Pack your umbrella and your popcorn: 27-year-old cable network stalwart The Weather Channel is going to start showing movies on Friday nights.
The movies will be weather-themed or feature weather prominently, and the first is the George Clooney drama The Perfect Storm; others lined up include March of the Penguins, Deep Blue Sea and Misery. Of course, TWC won't leave you out in the cold — weather updates will show up on-screen while the movies are playing, so you'll still know when to actually expect the perfect storm (ba dum ching!).

George Clooney arrived in Toronto via private jet yesterday, hopping from one film festival right to the next. He had his girl Elisabetta by his side at the Venice Film Festival premiere of The Men Who Stare at Goats, but he arrived solo in Canada. While in Europe he also kept crowds entertained with his antics, jokes, and even his singing voice.

George Clooney pulled up to the Venice Film Festival on a boat with his girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis yesterday. The lucky lady has been treated to George's luxurious life in Italy all Summer, apparently she's stayed around long enough to be his Venice plus one. George was sporting a bandage on his hand after slamming it in a car door a few weeks ago at his Lake Como house.

George Clooney and his latest girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis went for a boat ride around Lake Como earlier today. Things have been heating up between the couple as George introduces Elisabetta to his friends who visit his Italian home. In a few weeks, George will be attending the Venice Film Festival for Men Who Stare at Goats, so we'll see if Elisabetta walks the red carpet with him at the big event where he brought Sarah Larson two years ago.
