Spring Lip Glosses, Part IV: Hot Pinks

Welcome to part three of a five part series on Spring lip glosses! Hot shot pink lips and sexy bold shades are a hot beauty trend that have been seen on the runways and all over the cosmetics counters for Spring! Here are three of my favorite pretty hot pink lip glosses:

Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Gloss in Fresh Berry, $20, is an amazing ultra shiny, sleek and chic lip gloss that you heard about here first! It's not even out yet. The colors that I have linked to are the older ones; 12 new shades (including this one) will be available online and at Estēe Lauder counters nationwide in May 2007.

Not only are these glosses sheer, lightweight and pearlized, but I really love the luxe packaging. They are small, elegant and have a classy gold top!

These leak free lip glosses are awesome! Not only are they just a 'lil smaller than your usual size (great for valuable space in our clutches) but they also come with a brush attached for easy application and mess free spread-ability. Check out these two new glosses!

Cargo PurseGloss, $16, is the latest lip gloss from Cargo. It is made from the same non-tacky feeling formula as their famed lip gloss tins, however they are now easy to carry.

I personally have a distaste for tins. They are really big and if you don't have a lip brush handy, you have to keep dipping in, leaving your fingers feeling gooey.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy® Lip Gloss in Ripened, $12, is a long lasting, ultra sexy and shiny color-rich gloss that adds illustrious shine to your lips without that gooey sticky feeling. This soft and sexy color looks great alone or is perfect over any soft purple or neutral colored lipstick.

Laura Mercier Lip Gloss in Violet Glace, $20, is an all time favorite of mine. I wear it over her Amethyst Lipstick and it never fails me.

This gloss glides on smoothly and evenly and it feels very hydrating on your mouth since it contains Vitamin E, Lanolin and mineral oil. It is sheer enough to be worn alone, but also perfect for layering.

Here are three of my favorite beautiful berry lip glosses:

Aveda Lip Glaze in RubiSparks, $15, is a succulent rich translucent color. It has intense shine and is made from ripe berry anti-oxidants and plant derived moisturizing ingredients. It is also flavored with yummy and organic peppermint and ginger.

Gooey Glosses Galore!

There truly is a lip gloss for everyone. You have your creamy glosses with a lipstick-like texture and more opaque coverage, your balmy glosses, which help to heal chapped lips, and then you have many, many other lip glosses that are just downright gooey.

The gooey glosses usually have the most shine and some of the sweetest smells, but conversely, you are also wearing a sticky substance on your lips that is likely to attract everything from hair to dust! I'd love to hear your opinions on gooey glosses and why you like or dislike them. Here are a few products that are new to the gooey-gloss market.

Kiehl's Lip Gloss ($13.50) is a sheer lip gloss made from natural extracts such as grape seed, rose hip, and mango to help condition dry lips. My favorite color is called "Icy Everest," a mauve that gives you a pale pout with a whole lotta shine! Available in eight shades.

Coral Lip Gloss by Jouer Cosmetics $18, is an ultra sheer soft shade of coral. This color would look great with a tan! The gloss is silky, high in shine and it lasts long on your lips. I love the texture of this gloss because it's not sticky whatsoever!

Ultra-Shine Lip Gloss by Sephora in Orange #23, $15, is a fun and playful Spring shade. Don't let the color of the tube scare you away. This gloss is super sheer and looks more like a clear coral wash once it is on top of your lips.
