Arnold Schwarzenegger Sings the Best of Public Domain!
From the crazies who brought you The Obama/McCain danceoff, it's Governator Ahh-nuld Schwarzenegger himself as the Songinator! Gospel music, '60s folk songs, German nationalist music — there's nothing this guy won't tackle! (May I request some Kraftwerk and Rammstein?) In any case, because his performance is reminiscent of this character's, I fully sympathize with the children who run screaming from the room during his lullaby.

- Bush Arrives in Seoul: President Bush arrived in Seoul, Korea today for talks aimed at communist North Korea — and instead of the large anti-US rally that was expected, a huge crowd of support gathered in the city center. Amid a background of gospel music, the pro-US rally attracted about 15,000 people for what is thought to be Bush's last trip to the country as president. One of those gathered said, "I came to pray for the country to come together and with President Bush coming, for his visit to go smoothly."

Just when you think there couldn't possibly be any more awards shows, Hollywood is right there to prove you wrong. This weekend, The Soul Train Music Awards honored artists in R&B, hip-hop and gospel music. Jennifer Hudson, Babyface and John Legend were among the winners.

Last Thursday evening, YumSugar and I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with one of my favorite Food Network chefs and the creator of Napastyle, Michael Chiarello. Michael specializes in homey Italian influenced Northern California cuisine and has been the host of many television shows including Season by Season on PBS, Easy Entertaining on FN, and Napastyle on Fine Living. I love Michael for his friendly, easy going approach toward food and his fresh, delicious, recipes.
