Jennie Garth Gives LilSugar the Scoop on Her Parenting Style

Before there was Summer on the The OC or Blair on Gossip Girl, there was Kelly Taylor of 90210. For many modern mamas, Kelly Taylor was the girl next door. High school girls related to her and tried to emulate her every move. And much like the actress who played her, Jennie Garth is the envy of many a mother. The bubbly blond recaptured America's hearts on Dancing With the Stars and is reprising her role on the old teen fave, 90210. As a counselor on the show, it is fitting that the famous mum has words of wisdom for other mommies. The adorable mama took the time to answer our four lil questions:

1. Why didn't anybody tell me ... about motherhood?

Why didn't anybody tell me it would be so hard? That it would be the hardest job ever.

2. You know you're a mother when ...

When you have a little bit of throw up on you and it's okay and you just keep on going.

3. What's the best trick your mama taught you?

It doesn't matter if the dishes are clean. It just matters that my kids are happy.

4. Free-range mom or helicopter mom?

Free-range mom. I let them run free.

Found It! Gossip Girl Bamboo Folding Chairs

Head of the Class: How Was Your College Transition?

One day you're in, and the next day you're below New York's 14th Street where, as Blair puts it on last night's Gossip Girl, "there's no class system." Is anything going right for poor Blair on her first day of college? Her gift bags and maid fail to impress her dormmates; her archenemy is her roommate; and that sushi/sake party is an epic fail. Seems like the former queen bee of the Upper East Side is struggling to get her well-heeled foot in the doors of NYU.

Worst of all, rags-to-riches and former social outcast Dan and childhood friend Vanessa find instant popularity. This role reversal might force Blair to confront the age-old - or old-age! - question: have I already peaked?

Nah. She's way too narcissistic for such negativity. So despite losing her headband, which I am pretty sure symbolizes her crown, I am confident Miss Blair will find her way to the head of the class of 2013. Besides, if I remember college correctly, nothing that happens the first week stands for four years.

Do You Believe the Chace Crawford Bar Refaeli Rumours?

Chace Crawford was at the Free The Noise party in New York City yesterday, while Bar Refaeli attended an exhibition across town, as rumours suggest the pair are getting close. Last Friday they were spotted dancing at 1Oak and have reportedly been spending a lot of time together. Just last month we saw Chace kissing Ashley Greene, and rumours linked him to his Gossip Girl costar Taylor Momsen as well as Linsday Lohan, but Chace denied any involvement with either in an interview with OK!. Michelle Trachtenberg Nails the Gossip Girl Look

At last night's Guess boutique party, Michelle Trachtenberg dished on the relationship drama we'll come to see on the next season of Gossip Girl. But that's not all she revealed; turns out, M.T. has a nearly photographic memory when it comes to her character's manicures.

"Not a lot of people know this, but I like to change Georgina’s nail polish color," Michelle told us. "It’s very reflective of the season. When I first came on I was wearing the Chanel that was crazy limited [Blue Satin]. In the second season, I wore Essie Wicked on my fingers. At the very end, when I was enrolling into NYU, I had a cobalt blue. For this season, we start out at first with Essie Berry Hard and now this is the OPI That's Hot! Pink. I’m really serious about her nail polish!"

Leighton Has Her Royal Boyfriend by Her Side

Leighton Meester brought her boyfriend Sebastian Stan along to a Parsons Fashion Benefit party in NYC on Thursday night. Now that Gossip Girl has wrapped filming for the season, Leighton will have lots more free time to spend with her man - though he still has his own show, Kings, to worry about. This far they've been lucky to occasionally make their schedules mesh for Sebastian's repeat appearances in the Upper East Side.
