Natalie Portman Talks Sex and Nudity in V Magazine

Natalie Portman rocks a pompadour for a stylized shoot in the Winter's V Magazine, which hits newsstands today. She made her directorial debut this year with New York, I Love You, but in this issue Natalie chats about Brothers, her first on-screen sex scene, and how she hopes to maintain her youthful appearance without going under the knife. Here's more:

On why she waited to do a sex scene: "I was figuring out my own sexual identity, likes and dislikes and all that stuff, and it's weird to be doing stuff on film as you're figuring it out. Also being a sexual object when you're a kid is really uncomfortable. After The Professional, I was already getting creepy letters. It's annoying because online bullsh*t interferes with what I want to do artistically. I'm not opposed to sexuality or nudity in a film, but I'm very opposed to pornography sites and you're pretty much giving them material if you do any of that. It's always a big dilemma for me."
On keeping her personal life personal: "The formative time of my public image happened before there was Facebook, Twitter, all of those gossip sites. I had my own drunken nights and dating a million people, but there wasn't that attention then."
On maintaining beauty: "You see people who were stars five years ago and already they're waning. As actresses approach 40, it starts becoming really, really difficult."
On being successful: "To be successful you need the desire to be successful. Ambition can be a dirty word, but it's pretty much more important than anything."

The Case For Craigslist: Are Its Date Seekers More Honest?

Desperately seeking authenticity? Maybe it's time to ditch self-conscious, niche dating sites for the shrouded cloak of Craigslist. People there are anything but afraid to ask for what they want: "Looking for a fun woman to experiment with who likes Gossip Girl!" "Relationship in exchange for financial help." "Let's get married this year!"

But while Craigslist can seem sleazy, desperate, and even dangerous, writer Katherine Sharpe at n + 1 points out that at least users are being honest, unlike the folks with their primped pictures and rehearsed lines on Match. After all, how many people, she asks, can be "laid-back" and "not take themselves too seriously"? (Perhaps as many people who claim the The Da Vinci Code as their favorite book?)

Craigslist is the only dating site (that I know of) that hasn't morphed into a social-networking site, and so it's the only one to remain truly anonymous. It's honest and open - open all night! - and specific. So if you're looking for a fellow Gossip Girl fan who's uptight, hates long walks on the beach, and reads Kafka - Craigslist is your best bet.

Agyness Makes A Pretty Coachella Pyramid With Pals

The Coachella Festival in California has been the place to be this weeked for star spotting and sun worshipping, as you saw in yesterday's gallery including Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal. Agyness Deyn has been continuing her fun in the sun with her buddies, creating a human pyramid with her man Alex Greenwald and buddies Remi Nicole, Nick Grimshaw and Henry Holland! Star of the new Gossip Girl spinoff Brittany Snow hung out with 90210 offscreen couple Jessica Stroup and Dustin Milligan, while Cat Deeley couldn't hide her smile hanging out with her man Jack Huston.

Elsewhere Zach Braff queued up for some food, while Jared Leto, Adrian Grenier, Kirsten Dunst, Chloe Sevigny and Dita Von Teese were all spotted around the site with friends. Check out the huge gallery of photos of all the stars below!

Serena van der Woodsen opted to make her boy toy swoon with an Autumn-friendly ensemble. Staying warm and stylish, the Queen Bee wore J Brand skinny jeans, a Diane Von Furstenberg printed top, and Cesare Paciotti boots. Have You Ever Been Gossiped About Online?

When I read this news report today about college students fighting to take down a gossip site called JuicyCampus.com for publishing their weekend hookups, partying, and general social lives, I was immediately reminded of my favorite show, Gossip Girl - whose plot mirrors this real-life situation. As a fictional show, Gossip Girl is a guilty pleasure and no one's getting hurt. But in real life, I'm outraged for these students.

This isn't MySpace or Facebook where hurting your reputation is all up to you, this is poisonous gossip, spread by others who may not know you, and it may or may not even be true.

Every one among us has had some experience with how awful gossip can be on a personal level, probably in middle or high school, and that was without websites like JuicyCampus. And now with it and blogs and social networking sites, I want to know: Have you ever been gossiped about online?

Last night's episode of Gossip Girl was filled with new beginnings. Blair was trying to get in good graces with the Yale folks while Jenny presented her first fashion show. Serena, of course, was busy with her fluctuating love life. In an attempt to woo her new love interest, Serena pulled out all the fashion stops. Her Just Cavalli gown and jeweled Armani pumps were just what the love doctor ordered. Though you can't see it here, a cozy Vince shawl goes perfectly with her sophisticated frock. Note how Serena spiced things up with a colorful cocktail ring. Hail the queen!

While others continued to play their hurtful games last night on Gossip Girl, Jenny Humphrey stuck to what she knew best - designing clothes. The fashion prodigy realized her potential and decided to embark on her own journey. What better way than to wear her own designs to get noticed?

Jenny looked fashionably fabulous in a bespoke plaid dress and David & Young knit beret. Her LnA zippered leggings added edge and I love how she layered her jewels. While the Nine West beaded bracelet is fun, I'm swooning over her Christian Dior Tedior necklace!
