Warm-weathered times equal music festivals galore: Pitchfork, Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, and the like. Throughout the past few months, there have been plenty of fresh eye makeup styles and high-to-the-sky hairstyles to go along with these free-spirited occasions. Whether they're sparkly or require 10 different styling products to be achieved, these looks demand to be seen.

Back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Studio 54 was the place to be. During its heyday, the Manhattan discothèque was notorious for its jet-setting crowd of celebrities and socialites, and among other things, its reputation for drugs and illicit sexual liaisons among some of those in attendance. All hedonism aside, it was also an era where fluffy hair, lots of makeup, and sparkled accessories reigned supreme.

Style icon Grace Jones took to the stage this week at the Latitude festival. She wore typically eye catching headwear for her performance which included a crescent shaped hat. She actually changed several times throughout her appearance, but this is my personal favourite.

Red lips abounded on the red carpet at the NME's in a range of shades. Singer Florence Welch arrived with a vibrant, true cherry-red hue. Girls Aloud member Sarah Harding wore a goth, blood-red colour, and Jamaican-American model, actress and singer Grace Jones sported a look I haven't seen since the 80's — she rimmed her lips with a deep red-black lip liner!

It's Grace Jones mania around here. Ever since I saw her on the cover of V Magazine's Spring issue, I re-fell in love with her brazen ways. The singer recently performed in London; she took the stage wearing nothing but a satin blazer, fishnet stockings, leather gloves, and a disc on her head.

Princes William and Harry joined a whole host of stars on the red carpet in London's Leicester Square last night for the Royal World Premiere of Quantum of Solace at the London Film Festival. Daniel Craig looked suitably suave alongside his partner, Satsuki Mitchell, and the famous females in attendance ignored the freezing weather and pulled out all the stops with their slinky outfits. Costars Gemma Arterton and Olga Kurylenko went for bright jewel tones, with Judi Dench wearing the most striking accessory of the night on her back.

At Rag & Bone's Fall 2008 show, crisp white button-downs were punctuated with skinny black ties, and Alexander Wang showed layers, knit hats and vests. The androgyny trend practically begins and ends with Grace Jones, the model-turned-musician whose signature flat top, glasses, amazing skin and wild getups (Keith Haring once painted her body and fitted her with armor) solidified her as one of the most iconic faces of the time.
Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Jones moved to Syracuse, New York and studied acting at Syracuse University.

Singer, model and all-round music icon Grace Jones walked the red carpet last night at the Mobo's. While it's a little early for Halloween, Grace played dress-up in this intricate gold mask. A lace effect plus pussy cat ears made for maximum look-at-me impact.
