Fab Ad: Jimmy Choo for H&M

There are only a few weeks to go until the Jimmy Choo for H&M collaboration lands in store. The luxury footwear and accessories giant is, for the first time, offering affordable stylish heels and handbags for the masses – just in time for party season. I have already given you an idea of what to expect, and now the ad campaign have been revealed and they even star Ms. Mellon who was shot by Terry Richardson.

The accessories will appear alongside a clothing range which is a first for Jimmy Choo. Tamara told WWD, "It was H&M’s idea to [do clothes], and as soon as they said it, I really wanted to do it. It’s the same woman [who is the inspiration for Choo’s] fall collection. She’s rock ’n’ roll, a little punk." The designs are available from 14th November and she admits that it hasn't been easy. “It was a challenge for us to create high-quality pieces at an H&M price point.” Are you looking forward to this collaboration?

Fab Flash: H&M Goes Online

Just last month it was revealed that fast fashion retailer Zara was finally going online and now H&M are also following suit. The Swedish High Street giant has announced plans to offer their wears online, although not until Autumn 2010.

The bargain pieces are already available online to Swedish shoppers (including homewares). H&M recently announced plans to collaborate with Sonia Rykiel on a line of knitwear and lingerie. The Jimmy Choo capsule collection is also due to arrive in store in mid-November.

Breaking News: Sonia Rykiel for H&M

There are just a few weeks to go until Jimmy Choo for H&M hits stores across the world, but the High Street giant have just announced another exciting collaboration. Iconic French knitwear brand Sonia Rykiel will create not one, but two collections! The first, which will mainly consist of lingerie, will launch on the 5th December and will be available in 1,500 H&M stores across the globe. Whats more, the items will also be available in Sonia Rykiel boutiques.

The second part of the collaboration, a line of knitwear for girls and women, will launch on 20th February 2010. These designs will only be available in 250 shops across the world and will include funky accessories. President of Sonia Rykiel Nathalie Rykiel, commented,

“It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means. This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy. The Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection is the ideal way to offer the essence of Rykiel to a great number of women around the world, and a beautiful way to close the year. The knitwear collection is perfect for welcoming a colourful new season."

The French fashion house recently celebrated forty years in the fashion industry with an exhibition in Paris and a catwalk show where many designers paid homage to Ms. Rykiel. H&M have teamed up with many big design houses in the past including Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson and Roberto Cavalli.

Sneak Peek! Jimmy Choo for H&M

At the start of the Summer, I revealed that Jimmy Choo is the latest designer to collaborate with High Street giant H&M. The footwear designer is creating a bargain line of footwear, accessories and even clothing for the store to be launched on 14th November. Images of the line have recently been leaked on the internet giving a glimpse of what to expect. The shoes stay true to typical Choo style with sexy high sandals and plenty of disco glamour. There are a couple of pairs of flats and this season's hottest footwear - thigh high boots. What do you think of these styles? Are you excited for the launch?

Breaking News: Jimmy Choo for H&M

I have just heard some very exciting news and I couldn't wait to share it with you lovely readers! High Street retailer H&M have just announced plans for a collaboration with luxury shoe designer Jimmy Choo. The capsule line, due to hit store on November 14th, is the first time an accessories designer has had a partnership with H&M. What's more, Jimmy will also produce a line of menswear for the store.

Founder and President of Jimmy Choo Tamara Mellon commented, "Jimmy Choo will bring to H&M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection – the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!" Margareta van der Bosch, the creative director of H&M is also thrilled. She stated, "This collaboration is particularly exciting because it's our first shoe designer collection. It's a joy to be able to offer top end designer shoes and bags of excellent quality to our customers."

Behind the Seams: Matthew Williamson NY Summer Launch

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Matthew Williamson for H&M hoo-ha was all over with following its star studded launch in London last week. However, that part was merely a teaser for his main collection which is due to launch worldwide on 14th May. Last night there was a party for the extended line aboard The Majesty in New York where celebrities were full of compliments for the collaboration.
