Sexiest Man Alive Johnny Depp Celebrates Tim Burton in NYC

The work of Tim Burton is being celebrated at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in a brand new exhibition that launched last night, and a selection of stars turned out to take a look at the collection. Tim Burton and his wife Helena Bonham Carter attended and posed for photos with Tim's buddy Johnny Depp, who was looking gorgeous as always! His sexiness has been verified by People magazine who have named him sexiest man alive! Do you agree? New Moon's Ashley Greene took a night off from promotion and checked out the exhibition, as did Rose Byrne who was also dressed in black. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also attended the event, wearing big coats and carrying matching bags - check out the colourful streaks in Ashley's hair! Other guests included Patti Smith and Brooke Shields!

David Celebrates With the Kids During His Sporting Weekend

David Beckham was in a celebratory mood on Friday as he helped Los Angeles Galaxy beat Houston Dynamo at home in the MLS Western Conference Championship. He snuggled up with his hair twin Cruz on the pitch afterwards, and Romeo and Brooklyn were also in the stands to watch their dad claim victory. Come Sunday David was riding solo, attending the P.S. Arts Express Yourself event at Santa Monica Airport and then watching the Houston Rockets play the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Meanwhile, after doing her bit for charity Victoria arrived in London for business meetings, and she'll no doubt have to respond to the latest rumours about signing Blake Lively to model her next collection.

Love It or Hate It? Agyness Deyn's Poufy Hair and Purple Lips

Last night at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview in London, Agyness Deyn arrived wearing a minidress, poufy platinum hair and deep goth, purple lipstick, a shade we don't typically see in Summertime. She actually modeled in the show too before joining some of her other celebrity buddies at Bungalow 8 for an afterparty - what a night! How do you feel about her unorthodox hair and dark lipstick look here?

New Product Alert: The Art of Shaving

I've always liked the looks of men's line from The Art of Shaving, so I'm really happy to explore its new women's shaving collection. The just-launched, seven-piece line ($18–$60) is specifically formulated for skin on the body, and it's infused with rose absolute. While I probably wouldn't go for all of the products because I don't have time for a four-step shaving process, I'm interested in trying the Ingrown Hair Night Cream ($30), a shea butter formula that soothes skin and prevents bumps and ingrowns. It sounds like someone's finally figured out how to tackle shaving problems without leaving skin oily or overly mentholated.

Will the Hair Art Trend Never End?

In the past couple of months, we've seen human hair shirts, hair jewelry, hair dresses, and now this - a hair chair from design team Baron & Baron. What is with this trend, my people, for serious? Human hair is great and all, but I'm getting worried that by next year, if fashion and design peeps get their way, I'm gonna have to be conditioning and detangling all my sweaters. What do you think? Is this hair-as-material trend going to run out of steam soon? Or is it so entertaining that it'll stick around?

Love It or Hate It? Fergie's Artistic Hair

Last night at the Nomads Two Worlds Art Preview in Melbourne, Fergie arrived with hair that looked like a piece of sculpture, with a big, curled forelock and a couple of minibuns, as well as what I can only assume are extensions in a fall down her back. Fergie is a beautiful woman, obviously, and she's never afraid to go bleeding-edge cool, but what do you think? Is this look experimental, runway haute, or is it just too much thrown together?

The two major complaints she hears most frequently are the appearance of unwanted frizz and increased dryness, particularly during the cooler months. And while sometimes the bedhead look is hot, other times, that dryness and frizz can get in the way of having an amazing hair day. Backstage Pass To LFW Spring 2010: Ones To Watch

What makes the Ones To Watch so show special is that different blossoming designers come together (it's much more economical) to showcase their latest creations. On Monday evening, Ada Zanditon, Dean Quin, Hermione de Paula and Marko Mitanowski brought down the house in four sections. The challenge for makeup artist Rachel Wood was to "come up with a neutral look that could be easily added to and changed for each designer." She used makeup by Benefit Cosmetics to create a glowy, ultrapale base and lots of mascara for a dramatic eye.

Hair was a totally different bag of beans. I've chosen to hone in on the Marko Mitanowski show in particular because of its theatrical and uniqueness. Tim Furssedonn, the mane man (hee hee) behind this look for Toni & Guy was inspired by deer and unicorn to create antlers on each of the models. Lots of prep work was required beforehand to achieve this hair and it can be considered both an arts and crafts and beauty project to achieve this look - how fun!

STEP 1: Apply mousse all over the hair to build texture. Tim used label. m Volume Mousse. Once it's distributed, blow dry hair and backcomb using label. m Hairspray.
STEP 2: Divide hair into two triangle sections to create a centre part. Then attach the antlers with an Alice band and spread the extensions around the antlers. Note, the antlers have been crafted prior to the show with paper mache, padding and wire.
STEP 3: Because (in step 2) hair was back-combed to help build volume, now you can use that pouffiness to mask where the pieces are attached.
STEP 4: Lastly, attach the separate and small plaits in the front of the hair and secure with bobby pins. When you're finished, mist the entire head with label. m Hairspray.

Backstage Pass To LFW Spring 2010: Ziad Ghanem

During Fashion Week and especially in London, you see a lot of things. Some of the beauty looks are edgy and have that certain British je ne sais quoi, whilst other shows exhibit a and polished and safer style of hair and makeup that you might expect to see from the high fashion catwalks. However, at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, a location for up and coming designers on the cusp of hitting the big time BFC tents - anything goes!

On early Monday evening, I was again able to peek backstage at the whopping 21 different makeup looks created by Rachel Wood with Benefit Cosmetics for the Ziad Ghanem show. The inspiration behind the looks was Jessica Rabbit mixed with the late 70's, early 80's boogie era which was complemented with big, rockabilly hair.

The show was called The Immortalist and was a collaboration of Ziad's Maiden Britain line along with Firetrap. To call the crowd eclectic would be an understatement, as there were lots of extravagant outfits made from neon, lace and leather. Also, the front row was comprised largely of transvestites. As for the makeup, I wouldn't exactly call this look pretty. It was more rough and rocker with a few similarities between the models being waxed out brows that were drawn in with high arches, red, or clear shiny lips, and big lashes.

The clothing had a pop art feel, but sadly, I didn't find the looks to be all that groundbreaking. To see more photos from the runway and backstage and to find out the colours that Rachel used on the models, just read more.

FACE:Rachel prepped the skin with You Rebel Tinted Moisturizer and then dusted it with Hello Flawless (powder) to set the foundation.
EYES: Each of the models had a different rainbow look on their eyes, First, Rachel applied a shade of Lust Dusters all over for a sparkly effect and then she applied to lots of Bad Gal Lash mascara to define the lashes. Lastly, two to three sets of eyelashes were used on each girl for added drama.
Lips: The goal for the lip look was over-the-top dramatic, so lips were lined with Badgal Black Eye Pencil and then filled in with Flirt Alert Full Finish Lipstick (a red hot, vinyl candy apple colour). If the models didn't have a red lip, then they wore clear gloss.
