Britney Goes Back to Blonde and Hits the Clubs

Britney Spears hit the road over the weekend before spending a few hours at Andy LeCompte's salon yesterday, dying her hair blond again and getting new extensions. She then celebrated her new 'do by going to the Grand Star Jazz Club in her sexy little black dress. Brit's been laying low with Jason and her sons now that she has time to rest after her European tour, but she deserves a fun night out on the town with her boyfriend after all her hard work.

Reader Review of the Day: L'Oreal Hair Expertise Ever Pure Smooth Shampoo

It's hard to keep up with all the "green" products on the market right now, so I haven't had the chance to try L'Oreal Hair Expertise Ever Pure Smooth Shampoo ($7). It's supposed to be gentle and sulfate-free, and although those are both good things, that doesn't mean that it's the right one for you. Reader xholdxmexunderx took it for a test-drive and wasn't terribly impressed, saying:

"I got this after dying my hair dark, and it didn't rinse out my color like most other shampoos do. However, I couldn't get pass the smell of it - a weird herbal scent - and it did not do a good job of actually cleaning the product out of my hair."

Adam Shankman to Direct Rock of Ages Movie Musical

Sometimes I forget that So You Think You Can Dance's Adam Shankman is also heavily involved in the movie biz - he directed 2007's remake Hairspray and recently produced 17 Again. Now the booty shakin' judge just scored a deal to direct and choreograph another movie musical, the Broadway hit Rock of Ages.

The stage show debuted in 2006 and revolves around the hits of '80s glam/hair/metal rock bands. It boosted the career of former American Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis, but he may not be reprising his role: Shankman remarked, "I'm thinking big, and absolutely am going to attempt to cast with movie stars. Now that musicals are working again, actors are much more open to it."

I've never seen the show, but I just read the listing of songs (think Journey and Bon Jovi) and now I'm dying to see it on stage and on the big screen. If you've seen it, what big names could you see starring?

January Skips the Bra, Drinks a Few Beers For GQ

January Jones let down her hair during an incredibly sultry shoot for November's cover of GQ. In the interview she loses her Betty Draper veneer from Mad Men and opens up about her career so far and even an old boyfriend, speculated to be ex Ashton Kutcher, who was less than supportive of her acting career. She conducted the interview over a few drinks and talked about getting in trouble for chewing tobacco and playing quarters on a plane, her high school drinking records, beer pong abilities, and how she navigated Hollywood. January is refreshingly real and a little brazen, but perhaps the biggest testament to her acting is how she's very much not just her onscreen counterpart. Here are highlights:

On her ex boyfriend: "The guy I was dating when I first got to LA was not supportive of my acting. He was like, I don't think you're going to be good at this. So - f*ck you! He only has nice things to say now - if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
On the roles she's being offered: "I'd never really played a mom or a wife before and all of a sudden I'm getting all these lonely mom and wife offers. I don't want to get stuck."
On growing up: "I hung out with dudes in high school. We were the hippies-into the Dead, Zeppelin, Phish. I was a lifeguard at the water park, and I remember the day Jerry died. Over the loudspeaker, it said: 'Jerry Garcia has died. Everybody meet in the parking lot.' I probably shouldn’t say that-we were saving lives! But that was definitely a sit-in-the-chair-with-sunglasses afternoon."

On transitioning from modeling to acting: "You're like an object. They move you around. And I felt like, God, I'm miserable. I hate modeling. When I moved back to New York, the agency said I owed them $20,000. So I left the agency and then-very quickly-decided to go to LA and try acting. Without any training."
On Betty: "I don't have a lot in common with Betty, but I'm very protective of her. I just feel like she's trying really hard to make her life good, and make her marriage work, and it just seems hypocritical that when she slips up, people get mad. Because Don does it all the f*cking time."

It's Hard to Resist Kristen Stewart's Allure

We caught a sneak peek at Kristen Stewart shooting the November cover of Allure back in July at the Santa Monica Pier, and the issue is finally about to hit newsstands. It's yet another cover after her recent appearance in Interview as she makes the rounds to discuss her latest film in the Twilight series. She sat down to chat all about her personality, what sets the movies apart from all the other vampire stories, and even Robert Pattinson. Here's more:

On her dating Robert Pattinson: "I read that story every day. . . it’s in a story every day, so let’s not put it in another one."
On why Twilight resonates with fans: "There's a lot of [vampire] stuff out there, but this goes deeper. But it's [more than] just foreplay. Even though it does that so well -it does a f***ing good job - the build up is like, ridiculous. But it's all for the right reasons. You're so very much with Bella. You're so in her shoes that it's a vicarious experience. It's addictive."
On people's reactions to the shots of her kissing Robert in New Moon: "This shot got everyone talking like I have some sort of great ass. But come on, I have a flat ass. I don't know what people are talking about."

On staying true to herself: "I go outside, and I’m wearing a funky T-shirt and my hair is dirty, and people say, 'What’s wrong with her? She needs to invest in a hairbrush.' I'm like, don't you get it? I'm not that girl! It's not like I was really clean cut last year."
On her weight: "I don’t exercise. I’m skinny fat. I worry about being too skinny. You should see my brother, he's, like, emaciated. We both just happen to be really skinny."
On the Bella doll: "She has bigger t*ts than me, and she looks ten years older. I have one, it's in a drawer."
On trying to be sincere: “I spend so much of my time guarding against sounding insincere about something that I would die for. . . maybe I’m overcompensating. . . I care so much. And it gets reported as the opposite. And even seeing this [interview], they’ll be like, Oh, she’s trying to let us know. . . "

Cheryl Cole Talks Hair, Future Beauty Plans and L'Oreal

Yesterday, PopSugarUK ran a fabulous interview on Cheryl Cole from Hello! Magazine. Cheryl dished on her thoughts on Megan Fox, Beyonce and she even discussed what to buy Simon Cowell for his 50th birthday! As if that wasn't enough (no, it's not a new grey t-shirt), I've got the scoop on her new multi-million-pound beauty contract with L’Oreal Paris UK, her hair extensions and if she consulted Ashley on dying her hair red. Here's what she had to say:

On L’Oreal Paris UK: "I was so flattered when L’Oreal asked me; I thought they can’t be serious. Then I found out it was for a new hair range and I thought it was perfect because I’m the type of girl who, if I am having a bad hair day then I have a bad day full stop."
On if she consulted husband, Ashley before she recently died her hair red: "Nooo, don’t be daft, he is a bloke – I don’t care what he thinks!"
On Hair Extensions: "I have hair extensions that are the same length as my hair but for extra body. They help my hair to stay looking good without constantly needing to be done. I couldn’t think of anything worse than being on a judging panel for 14 hours a day and constantly having to have my hair rebouffed."

LL Gets Red Hot For Her Upcoming Birthday Weekend in Vegas

Lindsay Lohan stopped by a salon in LA last night to dye her hair a darker shade of red before meeting up with Samantha, who was fresh off a DJing gig at the Reebok party. Things seem to be going well with Samantha, but Lindsay's also found herself in the middle of another relationship - Justin and Jessica's - after accusing him of cheating last week. The latest rumor is that Lindsay posted the photo of Justin's drunken antics as retaliation for brushing her off when she tried to dance with him. Whatever actually happened that night, Lindsay will have a chance to stir up more drama this weekend when she heads to Vegas to celebrate her 23rd birthday.
