Longtime readers may know Jerome Hillion, the London stylist known for his artistic, creative, and unusual hairstyles. After being named Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year in 2005, he's continued to create out-of-the-ordinary looks that beg to be looked at. I've been wondering about his inspiration, and fortunately for us, he was happy to answer a few questions from his London salon:
How and when did you know you wanted to create avant-garde hairstyles?

The only thing I love more than a famous hairstylist is a famous hairstylist who makes his hair-care products affordable. Such is the case with Cristophe, who creates some of Hollywood's most famous hairstyles in his Beverly Hills salon. While a cut with him costs hundreds of dollars, his unscented, sulfate- and paraben-free hair-care collection (glowing review here) is well priced and available at CVS.

You know those amazing cuts and colors that make you stop and go, "Oh my gosh, I have to know—who does her hair?!"? Well, take a look at Kristin Chenoweth, who's starring in the fall show Pushing Daisies. I love this modern cut, and the depth of the color is beautiful.

Leigh Lezark, Diane Kruger and Blake Lively were among the guests at the Chanel Fete d'Hiver benefit in New York last night, all looking stunning in their gowns. The blonde Gossip Girl star is on the front of a couple of magazines at the moment, in Nylon she's looking funky in checks, and on the US Marie Claire cover she's showing some skin! Here's some extracts from her interview:
- On acting:"As a character, I get to be this wild, outgoing person that I’m so not.

Whether it’s your first or your 50th, job interviews are nerve-wracking experiences. And no matter how conscious you are of not letting that nervousness show, sometimes there’s nothing you can do about it.
Several friends have told me they have nervous tics that only come out in interviews: one friend’s nose starts to run uncontrollably, another becomes compulsive about pushing her hair away from her face, a third laughs at inappropriate times.

Hot, hot, hot! Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are looking sexy on the front cover of the American Harper's Bazaar magazine, in a stunning photoshoot by Mark Seliger. The New Moon costars and rumoured couple got up close and personal in the photoshoot, cuddling up, lying down together, and Rob on one knee in front of McQueen-clad Kristen!

Last year, upon the Beckham's much-anticipated arrival to the States, Celebrity colorist Johnny Ramirez welcomed Posh to her new home by "Californizing" that famous graduated bob to platinum blond levels.
Just this past weekend, Ramirez, who works at the Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills, gave the petite trendsetter's chic pixie some extra zip, and I've got the exclusive details on what went down. Check out my interview below, and look out for some more of Johnny's hair-color advice to come:
Is Victoria just as funny in person as she is on TV?

Victoria Beckham posed in lingerie for Harper's Bazaar's special double cover December issue. While she was showing off her more relaxed curls at a basketball match with the family at the weekend, Victoria wears her hair in a tight top knot hairstyle for the 16 page spread by Alexi Lubomirski. FabUK has the lowdown on what Victoria said about her customers and her nerves and I've got extracts from her interview about her solo career, her future, Emma Watson, her exercise regime and the importance of positive thinking.

Years ago, when hair expert Keneesha Hudson allowed her curly locks to go natural, it proved to be a positive experience. "I feel a great sense of freedom wearing my own hair," she told me. "It definitely has a much more organic feel to it.

As owner of Atlanta's Urbanbella salon and apothecary-style store, Keneesha Hudson has learned a thing or two about hair — particularly when it comes to kinky, curly, and wavy textures. That's why I consulted with the leading expert in the category on how to tame those unruly curls; and now, I have more of her helpful tips. No matter what kind of curl texture you've got, if your hair has some type of wave to it, this post is for you.
