3 Tips on Battling Wintertime Frizz in a Flash

Do you have flyaways galore? No doubt frizziness is a year-round issue. But now that the warmer-weathered humidity-induced frizz is pretty much no longer the cause of extreme pouffiness, lots of us get the frizzies from merely wearing scarves, hats, and gloves - not to mention the low moisture levels in the air.

Recently, famed stylist John Frieda, along with Harry Josh, gave us tips on eliminating frizz on wet locks. However, let's say you just don't have time to go through the whole blow-drying process, or your already-styled hair is showing signs of frizz galore. Beauty Byte: Cheryl Cole and L'Oreal Get Blasted for Illusory Ad

The complaints are pouring in, (13 of them to be exact) to the Advertising Standards Authority about the misleading images for the newest L'Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 haircare products commercial and print adverts starring Cheryl Cole.

People feel that since Cheryl is wearing hair extensions in the ads, they aren't being portrayed as true. However, the complaints have so far been rejected based on the disclaimer in the commercials and the print ads that states that Cheryl's hair is "styled with some natural extensions". This however, is not appeasing to the public, as they don't feel this message is clearly portrayed.

What are your thoughts on these complaints? Do you think that L'Oreal should have been more up front about Cheryl's hair extensions so that people don't think that you can have hair just like her's if you use the new Elvive Full Restore 5 range, or do you think that by including the disclaimer they have been responsible?

2009 American Music Awards: Nicole Kidman

It's a rockin' night, and Nicole Kidman is dressed for it. She arrived on the arm of her crooner husband, Keith Urban, wearing her hair very differently than what we're used to seeing. Instead of an elegant updo or worn long and center-parted, tonight she let her hair cover half her face, a la Veronica Lake. Do you think the style worked as well on Nicole as it did on Veronica, or do you wish she hadn't gone for a remake?

Over-the-knee boots are the sexiest boot to dominate in a while. This is what happens when you put three Supers in them, and only them. On the Winter '09 cover of i-D Magazine, the three show us their winking prowess. Makes you want to practice yours, huh? If I were to adopt a winking style based on this, I think I'd go the Claudia route - pure, unabashed flirtation. Eva's is more a bedroom eyes approach, while Helena subtly reveals one gorgeous green eye. They all have wild, curly glam hair and show just enough skin, but which Super has the sassiest wink?

Easy Tip: Go to Bed, Wake Up With Curls

Wake up with gorgeous curls - seriously, fast and easy! Spend the morning making a nice cup of tea and watching CNN rather than working on your hair.

Wash your hair at night.
Put your favorite styling cream in damp hair.
Flip your head over (bending at the waist) and pull all hair into a scrunchie on the top of your head.
Section by section, roll hair into curlers and pin. ( I have very long hair and I only need about 6-7 curlers).
Everything stays on the top of your head so you don't feel a thing when you are sleeping.

In the morning: magic! Remove the curlers and scrunchie; either brush hair or finger tousle and you're done! Beautiful hair! I read this somewhere and do it all the time. It is a REAL time saver with fab results!
