Finding the right hairstyle for your wedding day is a big deal, so don't be ashamed or embarrassed to play with different looks. I sat through five different trials trying everything from long, wavy extensions to updos. Heck, even celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves said that, "once Carmen Electra selected her wedding dress, I created 13 different hairstyles on her and took a Polaroid of each one so she could select the one which was perfect for her."

It's National Hairstyle Appreciation Day. Who would have known it? To celebrate this momentous occasion, we've been digging through our photo archives — and unfortunate, embarrassing "tagged" photos on Facebook — in search of the hairstyles we did not appreciate all that much.

It's no secret that Mad Men has popularized retro fashion — and if you're looking for some tips on Joan and Peggy's makeup, these straight-from-the-set secrets will help you achieve their looks. Hair, on the other hand, is a little more involved. That's where Vintage Hairstyling ($29.95) comes in.

Maddox Jolie-Pitt and his kiddie cool fauxhawk kicked off a hair raising trend for Hollywood wee ones and those outside of Tinseltown. Children across the country have cutting edge cuts and sassy hairstyles that have been sheared into shape or gelled up into the 'dos. From retro mohawks to mini mullets, are you impressed or distressed by the tresses?

Yum always finds weird holidays. She'll be all, "Did you know that April is National Welding Month?" and all I can do is marvel at her encyclopedia knowledge.

To celebrate the very exciting launch of BellaSugar, we're giving away a different product every day in May, thanks to our very generous friends at Sephora.
Today's prize is a favorite of professional stylists and celebrities alike. Understandable, since the GHD Professional Hairstyling Iron ($195) is designed to both curl and straighten the hair, which is great if you like to change your locks a lot like I do.

Here are highlights from OnSugar blog Krissy's One Stop Beauty Spot.
Women, especially black women, have the ability to change hairstyles like underwear. I support you ladies no matter what you do — just do it right and take care of your hair. For the most part we all practice the same principles when it comes to proper hair care (co-washing, ACV rinse, trims, deep conditioning, etc.). I'm always willing to help people with hair questions and concerns, or at least point them in the right direction. I know plenty of people in that area.
Where I stand on a lot of hair issues:
- I'm anti kiddie perms and kiddie dreadlocks on children if they're at an age where they can't make that choice for themselves (unless, of course, it's part of your religion).

Victoria Beckham stepped out in LA yesterday with her sons to treat them to some frozen yoghurt (yum). Whilst still rocking her new wavy hairstyle, Victoria also seems to be debuting a slightly more relaxed style teaming a loose tee with panel leggings.
I have seen these leggings all over the High Street recently, and they're particularly flattering in a dark shade.

If you are ever having a tough day, Mary J. Blige's Twitter feed might perk you up. It's usually uplifting without being schmaltzy — much like her American Music Awards look is elegant without being matronly.
