MoveOn, claims that insurance companies have gotten lazy and bloated from the profits — but a little competition from a fit and lean public option should get the system back in shape. With
a new poll showing that the majority of Americans want a government-run health insurance plan that will compete with private insurance, this ad might convince the rest of Americans who oppose it.

Ugh. Medicare is a mess and the most expensive mess in every state budget, so why would anyone choose it? Maybe insurance companies just need to be non-profit or something. You know, since it is required?
1Umm, at the end of the race it looks like the insurance "fat cats" are keeping up with her/about to pass her. Would've been more effective had she left them in the dust. More realistic too--she looks super fit. All that being said, anything government related is a mess--look at the post office!!!
2Not everything government related is a mess. I don't know why Americans trust their private medical insurance companies. They are out to make money. They are not concerned with your treatment. Their only concern is making money and holding onto it for as long as possible. Most people don't even read the contract that they have with their insurance company. They are crooks. Every year they raise premiums but never offer you anymore coverage. It's all about money, money, money.
3They start to keep up with her because she brings back good competition. It's actually a very well done and diplomatic ad. Now the bloated, lazy companies will have to do better to keep their customers. I think it's a great ad.
4i love it and it's true. i'd rather have single payer insurance but if a public option is the best we can do to get these private insurance companies to start providing more equitable care for better prices then so be it.
