Heidi Klum's Got a Good Take on Her Post-Baby Bod

Thanks to a healthy attitude - and a little encouragement from hubby Seal - Heidi Klum is working to get her body back in shape after baby number four. Still, if you're expecting the supermodel to take a turn in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, you might be surprised to learn that she won't be walking the runway this year, but playing hostess duty instead.

In an interview with US Weekly, it seems this mom is a little more realistic when it comes to shaping up her body after giving birth. Heidi told the magazine:

"I wouldn't say I'm back in the shape yet. But I don't know. Everything changes when you get older. It was different when I was 31 with the first one. Now, being 36 with the fourth one, it's different."

It seems to me the mom is setting a realistic expectation for getting back in shape and going about it the right way. She knows that it takes some work to get the bod you want, saying that, "For me, it always works to get back into it immediately. I think that if you wait too long, it kind of sticks on and it stays there forever. I have to be motivated." Still, she's not gym-crazed or diet-obsessed, adding that she's not exercising too much for now: "I walk on the treadmill a little bit. I walk on the driveway. I'm very active with the children." Sure, she's blessed with some supermodel genes (and possibly a very long driveway), but even still, Heidi's take on weight loss seems surprisingly down-to-earth to me - do you agree?

Heidi Relaxes With the Family Before Her Big Runways

Heidi Klum stopped by the salon Friday afternoon, but she'll be even more done up this Thursday when she hosts the Victoria's Secret Holiday fashion show. It won't air for a few weeks, but the pink carpet is back in NYC this year. Before heading East, Heidi enjoyed yesterday afternoon with children Leni, Henry, and Johan front row at the Yo Gabba Gabba show in LA. Heidi and Seal Welcome a Baby Girl - Lou Sulola Samuel!

Heidi Klum and Seal have welcomed their fourth child - Heidi gave birth to their new daughter Lou Sulola Samuel on Friday evening in Los Angeles. Seal has just released this statement:

"It's difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children. Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another? On Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at 7:46pm, the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter. Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years."

Seal confirmed the pregnancy onstage in New York back in April, much to Heidi's surprise! Huge congratulations to the whole family!

Heidi and Her Kids Approach Her Due Date With Class

Heidi Klum brought her three kids out to their semi-weekly karate lesson in LA yesterday afternoon. She's getting close to her due date, but Heidi isn't slowing down when it comes to tending to her children. Fortunately her responsibilities with Project Runway are on hold for the moment, but we still get to see her every Thursday when the show airs on Lifetime.

The Klum-Samuels Keep Karate Kicking Around LA

Heidi Klum brought her three children to their martial arts class in LA with the help of her mom Erna yesterday. She's in her third trimester, but that isn't stopping her from being out and about as Leni, Henry, and Johan join all the other celebrity kids heading back to school. Heidi's growing bump was on full display at Sunday's Emmys. Heidi didn't take home an award for Project Runway, but she did enjoy a special PDA moment with husband Seal.

Seal Takes His Turn Doing Pickup Duty

It was Seal's turn to pick up the kids from karate class on Thursday, after Heidi Klum stepped out to get Henry and Leni earlier this week. Their children are falling back into their Fall routine after a fun family Summer that included a getaway to Hawaii and Heidi and Seal's wedding vow renewal, and soon they'll head back to class. Heidi's dressing to accommodate a baby bump this year, but she'll always be one of the chicest moms in the school yard.

Heidi Klum Is Ready to Pop on Page Six

Heidi Klum struck a sexy pose for the latest cover of Page Six magazine. The Project Runway host rarely shies away from talking about her postbaby workouts or how she stays fashionable with a bump, and now she's sharing all sorts of details about her fourth pregnancy. She sat down to chat about her changing physique, losing weight, and her love for Seal. Here's more:

On how her body is changing now: "The last month is unbelievable, how rapidly your stomach goes. It's huge. The thighs, the butt - everything explodes in the end."

On her postbaby body: "It's bizarre. Just as it's a miracle that you can grow a human being in your belly, it's a miracle that your body goes back to normal again. I don't think you ever get back to exactly the way you were, but you do get close. And I'm happy with that. Especially when you see your kid for the first time."

On what makes Seal "The One": "Aside from his sexy stature? He's a gentle giant. We're very into family values. If you come to our house in L.A., you'll see that it's not a big, museum-like house where you can't touch anything or sit anywhere. It's a family house, where three children are living. We have toys all over the place."

Heidi Klum on Losing Her Baby Weight

Earlier in her fourth pregnancy, Heidi Klum shared that her daughter referred to her baby bump as a "Buddha belly." Pretty cute.

As the due date of her fourth approaches, the fashionista is contemplating her post-baby body. Famous for, among other things, quickly dropping weight after the birth of her first son for a Victoria's Secret fashion show, Heidi insists that there are no tricks to her weight loss. She says:

"I've never really had any special girdle machines or anything like that. For me, it's, you know, really healthy foods, exercising, playing with the children, going to the park. Normal things."

Klum added:

"I never really put a lot of pressure on myself, but for me personally, I feel like it is always better to get into shape immediately . . . it works to kind of get back into shape, afterward, I feel great."
