In case all the clover jewelry Heidi Klum has been wearing lately didn't give it away, the supermodel has a year-old bling collection called Heidi Klum Collection. The clover necklace she wore to the jewelry presentation in Berlin in September is beautiful and sort of resembles the most expensive clovers of all: Van Cleef & Arpels designs. It would be nice to mimic Heidi, only we don't have her salary.

Banana Republic isn't normally known for knock-offs, but this Banana Republic Open Pendant Necklace ($28) is an exception. It's inexpensive and just as pretty as Heidi's necklace. To get her exact look, substitute the gold chain for a black rope. Voila...the Heidi look minus the high cost.

She's one smart cookie because the more she plugs her bling on national television, the more she makes it irresistible. Does Heidi Klum's Decision to Discontinue Clover QVC Jewelry Line Admit Guilt?

Heidi Klum doesn't seem like the type to back down from a fight, so it was news to us when we heard the Project Runway host discontinued her QVC jewelry line after being hit with a lawsuit from Van Cleef & Arpels accusing her of copying their trademark clover design. "They wanted to have the clover, even though our designs never matched . . . they just wanted to own the clover motif," said Klum. "So they went after everyone who does that - Louis Vuitton! -- they said 'We own the clover . . ." Interesting. Take a look at Klum's jewels and tell me, does discontinuing her jewelry line admit guilt?

Heidi Klum might have lost her jewelry line to a nasty lawsuit, but that isn't going to stop another bodacious blonde from testing her celebrity designing skills on a home shopping network. Molly Sims has just inked a deal with HSN to design a costume jewelry collection called Grayce. Molly's art deco-inspired line includes earrings, cuffs, and bracelets stirred by the '60s, her love for travel, and photography. No clovers included.

Heidi's Pretty Jewelry

Heidi Klum is looking as beautiful as ever on The Early Show this week and don't you love her earrings?

Her earrings are from her jewelry line, The Heidi Klum Collection, made by Mouawad. According to the Mouawad website:

The collection was inspired by one of Heidi's visits to Italy during which she was intrigued by a clover-patterned marble inlay at the Duomo in Milan. Heidi envisioned the clover as an adornment piece and expressed her desire to incorporate the symbol into the design of a jewelry line. "I think it's beautiful as a woman to have a good luck charm that you can keep with you...that someone can give to you. It's sweet and meaningful," says Heidi. The collection is for the fashion-conscious woman whose taste in jewelry is timeless and elegant, much like Heidi's own style and beauty.

Elle and Heidi Fight Over "The Body"

Elle Macpherson is saying Heidi stole her name and she is pissed. Elle has been known as "The Body" ever since Time magazine gave her the name for their cover story in 1986. In fact, Elle's skin-care line is called "Elle Macpherson The Body." She can't believe Heidi is claiming it's her name while promoting Victoria's Secret's new bra. The battle for the body is on! This week, Klum has been claiming the title for herself in a saturation Victoria's Secret ad campaign for The Body bra. "They call me The Body - and now I have a bra named after me," the German hottie claims in TV commercials.

But not so fast, Fräulein Klum!

"We saw that and were like, Oh my god!" Elle Macpherson Intimates spokeswoman Melissa Edwards told Lowdown yesterday. "We were initially flabbergasted."

Elle's flack, Edwards, invoked the 1986 Time cover and added: "We have numerous press clippings in the office referring to her as 'The Body.' Everything from Harper's Bazaar to Vogue to the recent Sports Illustrated calls her that. In terms of public record, that name belongs to Elle."

Macpherson markets her own skin-care line, "Elle Macpherson The Body," along with a lingerie brand and a fitness video titled "The Body Workout." Klum - who was once called "The Body Two," in deference to Elle - is a relative Heidi-come-lately, and didn't hit the United States until the late 1990s. Both Klum and Macpherson have been favorites of the Sports Illustrated annual swimsuit issue, and both appeared in the mag's latest.

Fab Flash: Luxury Jeweler Sues Heidi Klum

Van Cleef and Arpels is suing supermodel Heidi Klum's company, claiming that her Heidi Klum Jewelry Collection copied their vintage Alhambra clover design. The suit, filed in Manhattan on December 21, seeks more than $25,000 in damages for attempting to benefit from Van Cleef's reputation.

Heidi has called the clover design under question her favorite symbol of good fortune: "I hope the pieces are true good-luck charms for the women who wear them."

Trend Alert: Quatrefoil in the House

Domino market editor Jennifer Condon has a fun slideshow of products with a quatrefoil motif, an ornamental design of four lobes or leaves resembling a flower or four-leaf clover, which you know from Van Cleef & Arpels's "Alhambra" jewelry pieces (and Heidi Klum's knock-offs). Her slideshow was inspired by this image in a 1971 House & Garden story showing readers how to create a Moroccan mood with quatrefoil stencils.
