Fab Flash: Luxury Jeweler Sues Heidi Klum

Van Cleef and Arpels is suing supermodel Heidi Klum's company, claiming that her Heidi Klum Jewelry Collection copied their vintage Alhambra clover design. The suit, filed in Manhattan on December 21, seeks more than $25,000 in damages for attempting to benefit from Van Cleef's reputation.

Heidi has called the clover design under question her favorite symbol of good fortune: "I hope the pieces are true good-luck charms for the women who wear them."

In case all the clover jewelry Heidi Klum has been wearing lately didn't give it away, the supermodel has a year-old bling collection called Heidi Klum Collection. The clover necklace she wore to the jewelry presentation in Berlin in September is beautiful and sort of resembles the most expensive clovers of all: Van Cleef & Arpels designs. It would be nice to mimic Heidi, only we don't have her salary.

Banana Republic isn't normally known for knock-offs, but this Banana Republic Open Pendant Necklace ($28) is an exception. It's inexpensive and just as pretty as Heidi's necklace. To get her exact look, substitute the gold chain for a black rope. Voila...the Heidi look minus the high cost.

Heidi Klum is looking as beautiful as ever on The Early Show this week and don't you love her earrings?

Her earrings are from her jewelry line, The Heidi Klum Collection, made by Mouawad. According to the Mouawad website:

The collection was inspired by one of Heidi's visits to Italy during which she was intrigued by a clover-patterned marble inlay at the Duomo in Milan. Heidi envisioned the clover as an adornment piece and expressed her desire to incorporate the symbol into the design of a jewelry line. "I think it's beautiful as a woman to have a good luck charm that you can keep with you...that someone can give to you. It's sweet and meaningful," says Heidi. The collection is for the fashion-conscious woman whose taste in jewelry is timeless and elegant, much like Heidi's own style and beauty.

Klum, unveiling the new Victoria's Secret Perfect One bra in Los Angeles let her arms breathe with nil accessories, while VB loaded on a fur shrug, motorcycle gloves, a Hermes bag, and black shades. What it boils down to is: minimal or maximum?

The Golden Globes Red Carpet: Heidi's Diamond Locket

Check out the set of diamonds on Heidi! Heidi Klum looks like a glowing Grecian Goddess, just six weeks after the birth of her third baby, Johan. She arrived at the Golden Globes wearing a gorgeous Givenchy gown, Givenchy gloves and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Even decked out in all of these high end designers, her own necklace design was the real show stopper. Her stunning 950 diamond and platinum choker featured a heart-shaped detachable locket made from 5.74 carats of diamonds. The choker also contained 208 carats of diamonds and totalled an astonishing combined carat weight of 213.74.

This necklace is part of the Heidi Klum Collection for Mouawad specifically designed for the 2007 Golden Globe Awards Show and is said to cost a whopping one million dollars. Looks like Heidi could be the next jeweler to the stars. Look out Lorraine Schwartz!

Heidi Klum Gives Us a Halloween Preview

Heidi Klum was ready for her favorite holiday in orange as one of the inspirational speakers at the Women's Conference yesterday. Today, she donned her fairy wings at a Very Sexy Makeup collection celebration. Heidi's kids love dressing up as much as she does, and as we wait for another Halloween with the Klum-Samuels, Heidi talks about making her first pumpkin pie and reveals her children's costumes. Here's more:

On baking her first pumpkin pie: "Last night I made my first pumpkin pie! I didn't have all the ingredients to make the crust, so we got all of the hard cookies out of the cabinet. Leni was hammering the cookies and then Henry got to the hammer the cookies. He made the crumbs. It was crazy, but honestly it was the tastiest one ever! [Seal] has not tasted it yet because he's not here. But I am going to put one in the freezer for him. He's not going to believe that I baked. I cook, but I do not bake!"
On her children's costumes this year: "Leni will be a bumblebee and the boys are both going to be Superman. Johan is completely easy, and he'll be anything. He doesn't care."

While she wouldn't reveal what she plans to dress as for her annual Halloween party this year, she's sure to wow us all on the red carpet, and hopefully we'll get a glimpse of the kid's costumes too.

OK, so we can't all be a fabulous supermodel with a cute family and fat paycheck. But at least we can steal tidbits of Heidi Klum's style. She's just released her second signature makeup collection with Victoria's Secret, and it's more or less a seasonless, classic look. Her first makeup collection also had neutrals, but this time she's adding a touch of green.

Heidi designed the five-piece collection ($10–$22) with makeup artist Linda Hay, and the lipstick/lip gloss combo makes for one of those great, versatile color combinations. Combined with
Heidi's beauty secrets, you'll be well on your way to living like a supermodel - at least when it comes to filling your makeup bag.
