Over four years, Todd Biernacki and his wife Krissy renovated their small houseboat on Seattle's Lake Union to make room for their growing family. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded today to Al Gore, the former U.S. vice president, and to the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change for their work in educating the world about the dangers of climate change. I'm so proud of Al and the U.N.

The Viceroy Snowmass is located just outside of Aspen, CO, at the base of a mountain, and is currently in the running to become the second LEED-Silver certified hotel in the state, and only one of eight in the entire country.

While stained glass is standard in many older homes, it's less common in recently constructed casas. Of course, if you love the look you can always commission a stained glass artist to create a window or panel for your home. Another good option is to visit salvage yards to find stained glass panels that can be hung over a window.
