Reese Has Found Herself a Great Cook in Jake

Reese Witherspoon flashes a big smile on November issue of InStyle. She's been hard at work all Summer shooting How Do You Know?, but Reese managed to find the time to chat about Jake, her exercise regimen, and missing her Southern home. Here's more:

On life with Jake: "Jake is a great cook - he does a lot. We spend the weekends outside LA, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee."
On working out: "I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I'm big into working out with girlfriends . . . It's an acquired skill, being able to discuss your love life, children and friends, all while you're running! But we have mastered it."
On her Southern upbringing: "Sometimes it's really difficult for me, being far away from home. I never imagined that my children wouldn't grow up next door to my brother's children. Or my mom and dad wouldn't constantly be around. At least I have a lot of Southern friends in LA - I gravitate toward them."

Shedding Baby Weight Has Been a Cinch For Rebecca Romijn

Motherhood seems like a natural fit for newbie Rebecca Romijn. The wife of Jerry O'Connell is featured on the cover of the latest issue of InStyle and posed for an inside spread with their darling duo - 5-month old twin daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. And, it seems that though the celebmama ate for three during pregnancy, the postpartum pounds have been anything but stubborn. Rebecca said:

I'm a jeans size up from where I usually am, but there's nothing about it that freaks me out-I've always said that sexy is having a really strong sense of yourself and never taking yourself too seriously.

After debuting a svelte figure just weeks after leaving the hospital with her new babes, the actress has attributed her rapid weight loss of about 60 pounds in four months and fit physique to two things - breastfeeding and Spanx, not exercise. I think within the first three weeks, I took off like 35 lbs. without doing anything! I haven't been able to work out that much because I have twins. It's impossible to get back into a regular schedule.

It looks like the former model turned mama has some amazing genetics.

Fab Flash: Rachel Bilson, InStyle Fashion Editor

Rachel Bilson is spreading her fashion wings by writing for InStyle magazine. In the May issue, the celebrity designer has her own page (page 148) named, Ask Rachel. "I’m actually flattered more than anything that people want to ask me questions about style. I am honored to do it,” said Bilson.

In her editorial debut, Rachel answers readers style questions and dishes on her favorite Spring items, which include Lela Rose for Payless flats, Lanvin sandals, and Matta scarves. When asked if it's OK to pair a big shoulder bag with a cocktail dress, Rachel replied, "You can absolutely wear a large purse with a party dress. In fact, I prefer it. Of course, it shouldn't be the size of a carry-on, and anything with an overly large strap is too casual. But a funky purse can offset the fuss of fancy." Jennifer Garner Stays Sexy and Sweet

Jennifer Garner is on the cover of May's InStyle, and here's a taste of the gorgeous photos inside the magazine. She shared some sweet details about her daughters, and Ben, who Jen says can occasionally be oblivious to her good looks. There's one area where she's sure she to hold his attention - Jen's rumored to be regularly seeing a sex therapist to make sure everything is going well in the bedroom. Here's more from her interview:

On her daughters: "Violet has taught me to slow down and appreciate things. With Sera, I'm so sure of her sweetness as a person. She’s taught me that there's an innate goodness in people that's real. And it's there from birth."
On getting advice from Reese on juggling family/career: "I always quiz Reese about how she does it. I feel like she does a really good job."
On relaxing: "I have a glass of wine with a girlfriend. I wish I meditated, but it’s wine and chocolate. Let's face the facts!"
On Ben's fashion eye: "Ben can be pretty clueless when it comes to my clothes or makeup. But when he does notice and says something, he’s so sweet that I forgive him."

The Garner-Afflecks Are a No-Frills Family

Jennifer Garner's fresh face and pink lips grace the May cover of InStyle. After taking time off and spending the first part of the year with Seraphina and Violet, Jen's ready to get back on the promotional circuit for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. Of course, she couldn't help but gush a little about her family and give us a peek into the Garner-Affleck household. Here are highlights:

On fashion and makeup: "I never go nuts with my look. It's easy to feel like you've gone into caricature territory when you do. These days I wear less makeup than earlier in my career, but I know a lot more about it now."
On cooking skills she's learned from her mom: "She taught me to proof my yeast with a little bit of sugar. And she also taught me how to stretch a roasted chicken to make three meals. Though Ben could eat an entire chicken in one sitting."
On sharing household duties with Ben: "Ben will do the school run. He dresses her and does her hair. It's pretty funny. You can always tell when he has been at it, just two random barrettes hanging in there. It's so sweet."

It's no secret that Jen and Ben are pretty hands-on parents, though maybe Ben can hone his hairstyling skills before taking his turn with Seraphina.

Kate Winslet's Just a Regular Girl with 2 Golden Globes

Kate Winslet put on a yet another Herve Leger dress for the cover of February's InStyle. Fresh off her big wins at the Golden Globes, she's still out there promoting both of the films that earned her the awards. She seems determined to keep her feet on the ground, despite whatever success comes her way. Kate opened up to the magazine about how she deals with her fame, as well as the backlash to her recent revealing Vanity Fair cover. Here's more:

On not being a movie star: "Please don't call me that. I don't feel like a movie star in my life at all, and I don't particular think I behave like one. I dont have my own plane. I don't have a chef or a trainer. To me, you're a movie star only during the time when you're at the Academy Awards or at an important glamorous event. It's very much a hat that you wear, and as soon as the event's over, the hat comes off. I'm back to being Mummy, and that's my priority."
On the one celebrity-ish thing she does: "Literally the one maybe celeb-y thing I do is the occasional facial. That is the only indulgent thing, where I just lie there and relax for an hour. You can't answer the phone. You can't get up and make soup. You've got to lie there and have somebody make you feel nice."
On her Vanity Fair cover: "There was some speculation in the British press - 'Has she been under the airbrush again?' It really kind of got to me. What's the big deal? If I'm looking good at the moment, just let me look good already! Don't have a go at me just because I'm not the fat person you always thought I was going to be."

Kate seems inclined to understatement - not only is she looking downright fantastic these days, but she should get used to being called a movie star since those two statues she took home last weekend have certainly cemented her status.

On Our Radar: In Style's Designer Central

Sorry if I stepped away for a while - I was hooked on In Style's new Designer Central feature. Like their Celebrity Makeup Match, it's hours of distraction. Not only is it a runway and designer resource, it has the goods on celebs wearing the designers. I just flipped through oodles of celebrity looks playing my own version of guess the designer. If you seek something more educational, you can zero in on a favorite designer and see their timeline (AKA. 10 Key Moments), runway shows, celebrity fans, and shop the designer.
Today I felt like I needed an Alberta Ferretti refresher and voila! Refreshed. The fun doesn't stop there. You can do your bridal designer research as well as ogle all the celebrity designers that have popped up over the years. Now you get lost at designer central.

Heidi Klum Sparkles and Shines For InStyle

Heidi Klum took her big smile to the cover of InStyle for the magazine's December issue. Posing comes easily to her after all her years of experience, and in the interview she reveals her five rules for success, like finding your passion and not taking no for an answer. With Heidi it's never all serious talk, and she also opened up about Seal, singing, and style. Here are highlights:

On her husband: "Sometimes I lie in bed and I'm like, 'Oh my god, there's Seal lying next to me. What's he doing there?' I get a smile on my face immediately. Our honeymoon period is definitely not over. [We] have date nights. We go to dinner or to the movies. We like to keep it romantic. Some people wake up in the morning and turn over when they see their mate. That's not us."
On how Seal has influenced her wardrobe: "I've gotten more stylish since I've been with my husband. I was always making fun of him because he has so many leather coats, jackets and shoes. But he looks hot. I want to look good for him. So I kind of stepped it up a bit."
On her singing voice: "We sing all the time. He's always rolling his eyeballs because I'm in the wrong key. But I know he's laughing about it too. So I'm not a singer - who cares? Not everyone is Seal!"

Not everyone is Heidi Klum either, and the supermodel definitely deserves to credit herself for all her success.

Rachel Talks Stardom, Style And Summer

The beautiful and adorable Rachel Bilson is on the front cover of this month's InStyle magazine and has opened up to them about celebrity, style and boyfriends in this exclusive interview with the star. Here's a few excerpts:

On being a star: "I hate the attention, which is sort of funny as I'm an actress."
On her style: "I don't usually wear expensive things… it's crazy you're like $1,400 for shoes? I wait for the sale."
On Victoria Beckham: "I respect anyone who really does her own thing. It takes a lot of energy and skill to pull that off. And I love that she doesn't give a f***"
On meeting Karl Lagerfeld: "It was so surreal, like meeting the pope or the president or a cartoon. He's fantastic."

Bond Girl Olga's In Style

While lovely Rachel Bilson graces the cover of this month's InStyle magazine, Quantum Of Solace star Olga Kurylenko is also featured inside. She gave the magazine a little insight into her experiences of making the movie, as well as confessing her troubles finding a man. Here's some excerpts:

Working on set with the Quantum crew: “English is not my first language, so the film crew would often…er…take the mickey out of me, they’d tell me these wild stories that I’d believe, then later say it was a joke!”
On her Bond girl character, Camille: “…She kicks ass! I did weapons training, body flight training for aerial scenes and stunt work for fighting.”
On her co-star Daniel Craig: “He’s a really nice man, so supportive and encouraging. And very funny”
On her ideal man: “I know lots of lovely, intelligent men who’d make wonderful boyfriends…but they are all gay!”
