Covergirl Blake Lively Supports Chanel Benefit

Leigh Lezark, Diane Kruger and Blake Lively were among the guests at the Chanel Fete d'Hiver benefit in New York last night, all looking stunning in their gowns. The blonde Gossip Girl star is on the front of a couple of magazines at the moment, in Nylon she's looking funky in checks, and on the US Marie Claire cover she's showing some skin! Here's some extracts from her interview:

On acting:"As a character, I get to be this wild, outgoing person that I’m so not. I think it all comes from being the youngest of five. I was always observing my siblings and hearing stories about their lives that turned out to to be helpful as an actress."
On growing up and fashion: "Living in New York, I feel stronger and more like a woman than ever before. In high school, it was like, what power do I have - I have long blonde hair, you know? But working as hard as I do now, I feel a sense of power and respect, too. And I’ve learned an incredible amount about fashion on Gossip Girl. Clothes are a personal expression, and my style is as ever-changing as I am: I’m growing, maturing, developing, I’m going through new things in my life, and with that, what I choose to wear changes."

Penn's A Lone Guy Among The Gossip Girls

Anna Sui launched a Gossip Girl inspired collection of clothes in New York city last night, and several castmembers from the series were there to party! Penn Badgley was the only guy to attend the launch, and got surrounded by his female castmembers Jessica Szohr and Michelle Trachtenberg. Meanwhile his costar and real life girlfriend Blake Lively looked lovely in white, while Taylor Momsen brought some rock chick style to the event with her bleached hair and dark red lipstick. Victoria Opens Up About Sharing a Bed With Sexy David!

Victoria Beckham looked a bit sheepish as she left her management's office in London to return to her hotel last night, perhaps because quotes from her interview with Allure have been released. When asked if she prefers sleep or sex, Victoria replied: "Sex! I'm getting into bed with David Beckham every night, so, you know, there'd be something wrong if I said 'sleep'." Victoria also revealed all about her bedroom attire, admitting: "I tend to wear nothing, but David bought me these little sets from Agent Provocateur, his favourite store." These comments follow hot on the heels of Victoria praising David for his inclusion on People's Sexiest Men of the Year list: "He idolizes our three boys, and this is what makes him 'the sexiest man alive' to me." While her personal life is rosy, Victoria still has to deny rumours about her business life, with her rep shooting down those reports about Blake Lively modelling for her line.

On the subject of her bronzed skin: "I don't self-tan anymore. It's frustrating when people criticise my colour. It's the colour that I am! I wear sunblock, but I live in a hot climate."

Blake Lively Gets Sexy and Patriotic For W

Blake Lively looked glamorous in red, white, and blue on the December issue of W magazine. She's promoting her two upcoming indie films, Elvis and Annabelle and The Private Lives of Pippa Lee along with Gossip Girl as always. In the interview, Blake opened up about how her family helped her pursue acting and her relationship with Leighton Meester. Here are highlights:

On her supposed rivalry with Leighton: "I’ve never really had a competitive relationship in any work situation. The media is always trying to pit us against each other, I guess because it’s just not interesting to say, 'Everyone gets along; everybody just works 18-hour days and goes home to sleep.' That’s not fun to read, I guess."
On how she began acting: "My mom and dad always taught acting, so instead of getting me babysitters, they would just bring me to class. And I’m a naturally shy person, so it really helped. I would’ve just been hiding under the table, pulling on my mother’s dress if I hadn’t been in their classes. It forced me out of my shell."
On her career: "I’ve been learning as I’m going along. I thought, OK, I’ll try a movie. And I was loving films, so I thought, No, I don’t want to try TV. But now I’m loving being on the show more than I ever could have imagined. It has been just the most amazing experience anybody could ever ask for. It’s such a blessing."

Blake also admitting to loving Serena's wardrobe, and we're sure that's just one of the many reasons she's enjoying her time as a TV star.

Blake and Diane Have a Fine Night Out For Chanel

Diane Kruger joined Blake Lively last night in NYC at Chanel Fine Jewelry's annual Fête d'Hiver. Both ladies are longtime fans of the brand, and they sported some special pieces as they posed for photos. Diane is a staple in the fashion circuit and recently was out to support Jason Wu, in LA. For Blake, the event was a break from her double duty work filming both The Town and Gossip Girl while also promoting The Private Lives of Pippa Lee with magazine interviews.

Jason Gets Juicy, Talks Sex and the City Sequel

It was a star-studded hot pink carpet last night at the Juicy Couture 5th Avenue flagship store opening in NYC. Blake Lively and Penn Badgley arrived together and smiled and chatted with fans, while Sarah Michelle Gellar struck a pose for the photographers. Jessica Szohr and Emma Roberts showed off their bright Juicy dresses, and Emma blushed when she revealed her celebrity crush is Nick Jonas. Kenan Thompson talked about Amy Poehler and Tina Fey - more after the jump - and Jason Lewis opened up to us about the Sex and the City sequel. Here's more:

On a possible sequel to Sex and the City: "I’ve been hearing about it just at dinner, from Kim Cattrall doing all this confirmation stuff. I don’t know anything about it."
On reprising his role of Smith: "You know what, I would do anything they asked me to do. They were so kind to me, if they wanted me to go over there and move lights I probably would do that for them."

Although Jason might not have the scoop on whether we should break out the cosmos again, we'd hope he'd be back as Smith on the big screen again.

On Tina Fey's Sarah Palin: "I doubt it. She'll probably hang that up now. It's time to get back to 30 Rock because I'm sure she's busy enough with that."
On Amy Poehler: "We text each other. She was crying when she saw that thing we did for her on the show. She was watching it with the baby in the bed. She was like 'Aw you made me cry! I’m sitting here with Archibald and we’re watching it.' It's just crazy that she just had the baby like two days ago."
On SNL: "We're going to go back to the groove that we were in before all the political stuff. I feel like it's going to be super funny with new themes and new characters, and we'll have more opportunity to focus on that."
On Obama returning to SNL: "That would be awesome. He was on before the nomination, but I'm sure he's got his hands full now."

Kenan also mentioned he's been "cooking" some "crazy" ideas for Obama skits, and since you guys are waiting to see what SNL does now that the elections are over, hopefully they'll keep the momentum going.

Fashion's Night Out Succeeds With Tons of Stars and Parties!

Manhattan was buzzing last night with all the excitement of Fashion's Night Out. It was an amazing way to help kick off New York Fashion Week across the city. Celebrities were out in full force to support the event, holding court at different stores while fans and press mingled, shopped, and spotted the well-dressed stars. Anna Wintour bounced between locations posing with her fashion-icon friends like Charlize Theron, Kate Hudson, and Sienna Miller. The Miller sisters were the guests of honor at the Intermix boutique, while Lindsay Lohan hit up Bloomingdales. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were surrounded by crazy security - maybe the most of anyone - for their appearance at Barney's. Meanwhile, Victoria Beckham was incredibly gracious despite the crowd at Bergdorf Goodman, posing with fans and pouting for cameras.

Nicky Hilton and Rachel Zoe were a vision together at the Bally party, while Sarah Jessica Parker laughed with Oscar de la Renta and Barbara Walters at Oscar's boutique. Charlize Theron signed copies of her Vogue September issue while Rihanna sauntered into events with all eyes on her daring black outfit, and Blake Lively held down the preppy front at Ralph Lauren. Chace Stays in Control of His Interviews

Chace Crawford slicked his hair back and put on a few temporary tattoos for the upcoming issue of Interview. He's currently filming the new season of Gossip Girl, but Chace found time to chat with the magazine about his privacy, his many fans, and life with his old roommate Ed Westwick. Here's more:

On deciding to live with Ed Westwick: "I wanted to live in a really nice building, and he really didn’t care. I also didn’t want to be paying an arm and a leg for rent . . . Ed’s girlfriend was in town most of the time for the pilot we shot in ’07. So we hung out a little bit and talked about getting a place. We talked to Penn, too, but he had shot a show in New York before and was living, I think, with Milo Ventimiglia. Penn said, 'No, but good luck. I’m over the roommate situation.' So I called up Ed and was like, 'Hey, man, I’m going to New York tomorrow. Do you want to room with me?' He’s like [faking British accent], 'Yeah, why not?' So I looked around and sent him a few pics of the place I found and he said [faking British accent], 'Is there any extra room for guest bedrooms?' I was like, 'What are you talking about? This is New York. What do you want, a game room? Let’s just make space for a ping-pong room as well.' [laughs] Ed had no idea. But the apartment was in a nice building, and it had a great roof deck. We’d hang out up there all the time with our friends, and it was private."

About fan overload while filming: "You’re having a serious conversation, looking someone in the eye, but everywhere around you, it’s literally a circus. Sometimes I sit back and laugh. . . It’s funny because everyone wants to know what’s happening on set. There isn’t anything shocking to write about, so magazines want to stir things up, like, 'Blake and Leighton hate each other.' But the truth is, when we’re all done with work, it’s like, 'Hey, what are you doing? Let’s go do karaoke.' The publicity factor is outrageous. They just want to shoot you down. So that can definitely wear on you a bit. A perception of you is created, and you really have no control over it. To some degree, you learn to adapt. But you also think, 'Eff you, you don’t know me.'"
On his personal life: "I’m the biggest believer in not talking. I don’t Twitter or MySpace or Facebook. I want to keep to myself. I don’t want to be out there. You have to keep some kind of control over who you are."

Blake Lively Gossips About Penn, Boys And Pets

Blake Lively has stormed into our lives with her character Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. The blonde sat down with Marie Claire to talk about the show, her pets, her favorite Spice Girl and what makes her happiest in the Happy issue of the magazine. Here's a few extracts from her interview:

On Gossip Girl: Just the fact that it’s airing anywhere else is unbelievable. It feels like everybody’s playing a big hoax on us.
On her private life: I was raised in a wonderful, close family. I was never a wild child so, luckily, I don’t feel the desire to go out and go crazy.
On her boyfriend Penn Badgley: I think it’s pretty out in the open. I don’t like to talk about it because we put so much of ourselves out there all the time; there are very few things that we get to keep private. You know, you see these people who fall off the edge and it seems they have given the media all of themselves. It is hard that people don’t just let you do your job for them and entertain, and then carry on your own life.

On only kissing three boys in her life: How can that be? I don’t know. I didn’t get around too much. Like I said, I didn’t have a boyfriend until I was 17. I grew up in a Southern Baptist family. It was more my grandparents. My mother is a Christian but it was just like she… It wasn’t like they went to church all the time and were really strict but, you know, my mom was very much a good girl and I was raised in a way that I didn’t… Not that it would be bad to have a boyfriend. I was really shy at school, too. With boys. I mean, I was really outgoing but there were boys that I would find out later had a crush on me but I was too shy to talk to them. Whatever. I was just being shy.
On her dog, Penny: She’s my constant companion. I’ve had big dogs my whole life but it’s just nice to have another heartbeat to take care of. I don’t talk to my dog. I’ll have a dog whisperer talk to my dog for me! You know, dogs are really remarkable and they know when you need them. They’ll come to you when they think you’re sad, in need of love.
On Mickey Rourke and his dogs: I thought it was so incredible when Mickey Rourke thanked his dogs at the Golden Globes. Everybody started laughing and he said, ‘No, I’m serious.’ He said that when he was at the lowest point in his life, they were there when no-one else was. All the people who are patting him on the back now that he’s risen again weren’t there, but his dogs were, so he thanked them. I just thought it was wonderful.I don’t think it’s worrying. His dogs clearly weren’t listening but people think their loved ones that have passed away do [listen]. Who knows what dogs understand. Who knows what people that have passed away understand. Dogs obviously have a strong intuition and they’re able to feel emotions, love and sadness. I don’t think that can be denied.
On being class president and her campaign slogan: It was Got Blake. Like the Got Milk campaign. I was gonna change my entire school but they pretty much tell you at the end that all you get to do is plan where the prom’s going to be held.
On the Spice Girls. Oh, Baby Spice, of course. That’s not shallow! That’s the best question you’ve asked me. I even had her shoes. Her six-inch platform tennis shoes.... but they’re size five and a half and I’m a ten so…
